Wow, so many games! I'll definitely be getting: 1. Trails Through Daybreak 2. That's it. Seriously. Nothing else is really in my sphere of interest or on a platform I play on.

Quite a few must-buys for me! VERY interesting month, with a lot of variety... The one you missed was only announced a few days ago (so probably too late to make it into this video): the Remaster of WonderSwan/GBA/PSP classic RIVIERA THE PROMISED LAND will get a Steam release **including ENGLISH** on July 16 or 17. This remaster was released on Switch and iOS/Android earlier in 2024, but only in Japanese. So maybe they'll port the English-localized version to Switch in the west at some point as well.

Do it, take the plunge. It's worth it. Pay no mind to the purest who say you have to start with Sky FC. It's more important that you start with something that hooks you, you can always play the older games to get the full backstory later if you want to.

@@SuperSupersoda Well I’ve procrastinated it for about 4 years now but with multiple reviewers saying you don’t need to play any of the other games before Daybreak and the recent announcement of Sky trilogy coming to PlayStation in the west in the near future makes me think I can take the plunge now. The little bit of the demo of the Daybreak demo I played I really enjoyed. So am trying to work things out now to buy / play Daybreak

This will be a Trails of Cold Steel months for me. I'm about to finish 1, I don't know yet if I'll jump in TCoS 2 right away or play another game in between to avoid burnout. I can't wait to play Daybreak, hopefully this year or the next.

Youre right about the backlog. Im currently playing Red Dead Redemption's remaster and Rain Code. I think i will be able to finish both before trails (11?) drops.

Trails through Daybreak is my single most anticipated thing of the entire year, game, movie, tv, whatever. I'll get the ultimate edition of that. Gestalt Steam and Cinder looks interesting, might give that a go at some point after Daybreak.

"Or catching up on one of the many RPGs that came out this year" - Bold of you to assume this year. Decade even. Well, I suppose I do play some games that new. But I am more focusing on my backlog from the 8 and 16 bit consoles right now. Will be getting Gestalt and Frostpunk 2 at some point for sure. Just not in any rush. Oh, and Riviera as well, that one got stealth dropped recently. Might get Daybreak eventually. Azure has been rough trying to find motivation to get through. We'll see about Cold Steel, but I don't know if I'll be able to maintain interest in the series that long. Then Flintlock and Path of the Goddess look interesting enough to want to know more. But they currently aren't on my "buy" list. And that's about it.

Zenless Zone Zero looks flashy, and at a first glance, definitely something up my alley, though the cooldown timers have me a bit worried. That might sound strange, considering I'm a Xenoblade fan, but when it comes to melee-based real-time action games, cooldown timers tend to be detrimental to the combat. I've also never cared much for the Hoyoverse games, so I'm wondering if that'll be an issue going into ZZZ. Still, it's definitely a game I've got an eye on. Hope it's good, because there's a lot of promise with that character-switching mechanic!

July is always a quiet month it’s stronger than it use to be. I’m catching up on games I’ve missed Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (PS5) - July 19th looks interesting I may pick that up.
