Ladies, I think a lot of people don’t know how to use retinol‘s. You must start off gradually. Let’s start off that retinol is photosensitive. You don’t wanna use retinol and then go into the sun. It will not be great for your skin. You’ll have a very very bad day. you start off with a very low-dose of retinol and use it once a week. Gradually you’ll build up to twice a week. Then three then four and so on. Then you will gradually build up the level of your retinol. You might start off with a .5 and then increase to one. This is a very slow process. Think six months to a year. You also want to put it in layers. especially in the beginning if you don’t want your face to get broken out, dried up scaly cracked. I use a serum and then a moisturizer and then the retinol and only at night. This way your skin gets used to the retinol product and does not cause major damage to your face. If you think that you’re going to use a retinol right away every single day and expect results in a month or two or even three, you are highly mistaken. it is critical that the following day you use a sunscreen. You want to protect your skin. This is the best advice I can give you all for learning how to use a retinol. For us more mature people, it will not fix your sagging jowls. That is a muscle deep in your skin that starts to break down and fray as you get older. The only fix for sagging jawsis surgery.

I chose that blush as my item and now I am so happy I did! I should also be receiving the same face cleanser and Tarte pencil. I did add the Fenty perfume and a pretty pink lipstick to my bag. I am just disappointed with the bag they are giving us this month. I have received my refreshment items in that bag in the past. WOW we are box twins. Ipsy gave me the pallet and the cream. I’m chose everything else. Laura Gellar makes good products so I’m hoping you enjoy the pallet. I heard Chrissy Teigen and John Legend started a skincare brand and they maybe part of the Icon box. If that is true I will be skipping that box because I Really do not like Ms. Teigen. I HOPE I am wrong! You are looking better in every video. ❤️❤️❤️

I really liked the bag for the price. I would really like that pencil. The box was ok to me. I still miss the original boxycharm boxes.

Aw Sher ❤ you shouldn't apologize for talking, it's part of the experience! Furthermore, as you say, you have timestamps and they can also adjust the playback speed to be faster 😅 Anyway! I was so underwhelmed by my powerpick reveals. I got the Laura Geller palette just like you (from your swatches it's gonna pull off way too warm for me, I'll have to gift it 😮‍💨) and the volition overnight serum. The choices in all the categories were sooooooooo underwhelming as well. For lack of a better word, I picked the least disappointing in each category of what was available to me (I logged 1 min after it opened so even with a lot of choices it was meh). I usually go for makeup, but if it's any indicator of how disappointing each category was...... I chose all skincare, because at least I'll end up using them. I got the FAB cleanser, the olehenricksen banana bright cream and an eyeshadow primer. Soooooo faces with that meh box I added a full set of add-ons, but they also weren't 'that' exciting. I got 2 byroe teatime treatment essence in the 6$ category, the life of the party perfume (18$), the pistaché pistachio biscotti perfume sample (3.50$), lithe beauty gel eyeliner in coffee (I think it was in the 12$), the tula skincare tinted spf serum (12$) and 3 of the fake awake samples (3.50$ each).

I was so disappointed to get the Laura Geller palette too 😂 ugh! And it’s definitely a fall palette imo it doesn’t make sense to put it in a summer box but oh well lol that blush you got it in the glam bag looks really cute!

Hey congratulations 👏 on 5K! Well done girl! I’m here for all the babbling anytime. John legend and Chrissy Tegan are the next Icon box curators. I believe it showed them on the boxycharm paper insert. I guess John legend started a skin care brand and it says it will be available in the add ons which doesn’t make sense. I hope they are going to feature some of it in the Icon box. I love them both. I might skip on it though cuz I’m betting on it being skin care heavy. Thanks for sharing your items and thoughts.
