No, I guess I can. I said earlier I had a question: The last time I was on jury duty, I got so frustrated. I was the only one who wanted to debate. Everyone else just wanted to go home. Therefore, eventually I got bullied into just giving up and agreeing to go along. Now I realize I should have just hung the jury. But I didn't. My question is: when I was actually in the courtroom and being quizzed about my agreement on the guilty verdict, was there the possibility of saying I wanted to change my verdict? Because I had just been bullied by the other eleven into giving up. Could I actually reverse myself then?
Hindsight is always tough. I've been selected 4 times. The worst? A severe child beating. Still haunts me. Always, follow your gut instinct. In the end, you have to live with your choice.
You can sign an affidavit under penalty of perjury and send it to the defendant's defense attorney. If you were bullied, it's jury tempering, even if other members of the jury did the bullying. It depends on what was done to "bully" you, but it's possible the defendant could get a new trial.
