Bruce Springsteen & Steven Van Zandt July 22-2012 At Memorial Concert in Norway .Sings 'We Shall Overcome' for the victims and the family's who lost there loved ones in the massacre on the Island Utøya :-( Bruce your all heart!
Oh Bruce, oh Bruce. You got a song for every moment, every situation. Every mood, every day. Even though it is not Your song, it makes meaning that you perform it.
It is a song for all people, I am an African American, and this song is for everyone who fights against injustice.. it is my song, it is your song..it is our song..
March 2018..and am touched so much by this video and I know that healing is never ever easy.. I am glad to see Bruce and Steven there in Norway to be a part of this memorial. This song Springsteen sings is a historic and iconic song from the USA and written by the Reverend Charles Albert Tindley and Martin Luther King Jr carried it on with his marches for equality for our black people, and again sung by folk singers like Pete Seeger and Joan Baez during the 1960's on and Springsteen sung it before the tragedy that this memorial service is about. Love, compassion, tolerance, goodwill, empathy and equality for all..this is what good moral values want to show in action...a concept that has existed for centuries. I salute all people who take their pain and move with and beyond it to uplift mankind to our most noble selves.
Wishing All The Victims and Family-Friends many strenght and patience to ! Let not the Lost Souls that do this crazy things, loose your faith in Good Humans ! Wish The Leaders that 'they' see far in the future, what can be happening too us ! Thanks BRUCE & STEVEN You have big hearts, and touch 'Us' with your music, many artist can take a example of that ! You can basically thank the man to the left (Steven Van Zandt) for Springsteens appearance. Besides beeing part of Springsteen's E street band, Van Zandt is an actor. He played one of the lead roles in the tv show Sopranos, and at the time of the terror acts he lived in Norway, working with the norwegian spin-off series to Sopranos called Lillyhammer. Steven played a key part in bringing Springsteen in for this event.
