Good! It means your water pollution in the area isn't too bad. I grew up in the Ozarks with the evening skies filled with dragonflies and damselflies. They are still around, but nothing as they were 40+ years ago before people started using dursban and other products for tick control in their yards enmasse.
Being new to the Ozarks the bugs drive me crazy especially the ticks and chiggers however I refuse to bend and use toxic chemicals to control them in my yard unfortunately my wife has contracted alpha gal from a tick bite but I am still only looking for natural organic ways to control the ticks. I recently bought guinea hens
@@ozarkshomesteadandfarm Sorry that happened to your Wife. I stick with permethrin primarily and just in trouble spots. Those Brown Legged ticks seem a lot more common than they once were, but they were always around.
Had a dragonfly jamboree last yer for a few days. I noticed that when it was over 2 or 3 larger ones flew around for a few extra days until birds got em.
