Coral looks fabulous on you... but wait! There's more! I was shocked - shocked I tell you - to hear that you love binding! Next you'll tell us that you also love labels! Seriously, your enthusiasm is contagious!
Great makes Rachel 😊 I liked sewing the Bettine so much I made so many of them when I returned to sewing , plus several for other people including my goddaughter and daughter in law who equally loved them. I think I made so many because I liked the construction and they only took 2 metres of fabric. I always lengthened the bodice and skirt for me. It’s lovely that you’ve just made one again 😊
Thanks so much Ruth ! The bettine is such a great make. And that’s so nice you were able to make them for others too ! It’s a lovely quick make too but looks super stylish! I’m so glad I made another!
Love seeing all your makes again and all together. So sad you all had such a short summer this year. I'm in Tennessee and we are still having summer, almost 90 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm looking forward to some 70 degree weather, hopefully soon. Thanks for sharing.
Some absolutely fabulous makes as always. I was so sad you never got to wear the beach robe 😭, as you say... maybe next year? Or go abroad specially to get it worn 😂 I am still so tempted to make that tote bag, it looks doable for me being a novice bag maker! Thanks for such a great video and Summer rundown ❤
Thanks so much Carole! I know! That poor beach robe.. she never got to fulfill her destiny!! Hopefully next year 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 Yes! You need that tote bag! You would have no trouble at all.. it’s a really fun make and a great opportunity for some fun fabric! Thanks as always for watching and having the chats xx
Hello from Florida! I really enjoy your videos…I’ve been sewing for many years, and I learn things from you and others all the time. I especially admire the beautiful ways you finish your projects 😊
Greetings from East Devon in the UK. Thank you for another lovely vlog. So much Inspiration . I'm not sure where to start. Keep up all the lovely sewing xx
Hi Rachael from Rhode Island, USA! So many beautiful makes! I don’t know how you manage it! You are an inspiration! I can’t wait to make my next t shirt so I can use your binding tutorial😊 happy sewing 🧵 ❤❤❤
Hi Rachael 👋 love everything you made ,my favourite is the coral top ,and the style of it ,I have just put 5 of your makes onto a wish list of patterns 😍, wow you did so well 👏👏
Hi Rachael 2024 spring and summer was all about 6 tee shirts, 2 eve trousers and the Olay shirt, the scout poppy blouse and 2 sets of yoga leggings (the Avery leggings) and contrasting tops so lots of basics, love your makes 🧵✂️🪡
That’s wonderful Anne! Sounds like you had a good spring and summer sewing! I love the avery leggings. I made them years ago… it’s a pattern I’d love to revisit!!! Thanks so much for watching!
Kia ora from New Zealand. I really enjoy your videos. Some great inspiration in this one as we head into warmer weather here in the southern hemisphere.
Hi there Sarah! New Zealand is most definitely on our plans to visit… one day 🤞🏻 Lucky you with the warm weather to look forward to!! Thanks for watching
Hello Sydney!! Oh I would just adore some sunshine! It has not stoped raining today!!! Oz is on our plans in about 5 to 6 years fingers crossed 🤞🏻 when the boys are a bit older!
So many beautiful makes! I am about to cut out my 4th avenir! You just feel so put together and it feels like wearing pj's. Love the fabric you made your's in. I think Dee will make it soon too. 😂🤩
Hi Rachael, love your videos, I too am an Avenir fan! I need an outfit for an upcoming wedding ,could you recommend a simple A - line skirt pattern with maybe a dressy top ? I love your style. Thank you for all your content. Brenda
Yes!! The avenir is such a great pattern!! I don’t think I’ve made too many A -line skirts I’m afraid! But my go to for weddings would be the Sew Over It Betty dress or the Deer and Doe Magnolia and of course the Fringe Dress gets an honourable mention! And the Tilly and the Buttons Joni!! I hope that helps!!
It's always a pleasure to check in with you, Rachael. In particular, seeing all your lovely makes. Could you just answer a question though please. What is the name of the company you bought your jersey fabric? I have heard you mention them quite regularly but I havent heard of them apart from when you mention them.
Hi Annette! Do you mean driessen stoffen? driessenstoffen.nl/en/ Yes I order from them quite regularly. I’ve linked all the fabric shops in the description along with the make if you’re looking at one in particular? Hope that helps? Thanks a mill for watching!
Hi Rachael, love your makes! You showed the fake cuff hack from waves and wild - seems a great idea but I can’t find it - could you send a link? Thanks! Aoife
Woops! Totally forgot to add it! Thanks a mill Aoife I’ve updated the description box now and this is the link instagram.com/reel/C8WpAiXP1En/?igsh=MXhxZHJ1aDdweWw4MQ== Hope you find it useful!!
Always busy in the sewing room 😉 I’m a definite beginner!! I find the machine good.. it can be temperamental for sure though! I have to use guterman thread and it takes a bit of time to get the tension right. I use a free motion foot, walking foot and 1/4” foot all which I got on Amazon, all generic ones but they seem to work! If you’d like to know anything specific! Please just let me know! Thanks so much for watching
Hi Rachel , just wondering what the how long the time from ordering it takes to get fabric Driessen Stoffen and cost of postage. Thanks. Geraldine ❤ 14:22
Hi Geraldine! Postage is €15 , no customs, and it takes roughly a week to be delivered. I’ve never had an issue ordering from them! Thanks for watching!
