It's kind of surreal to look at this whole area (walk from driveway, gazebo, brick patio, pallet walkway garden, back garden, the vistas) and know that 3 years later it's almost all gone/changed beyond recognition.
OH MY, YOUR MOMENT OF GARDEN INSANITY!!! LOL I was having a really hard day because this is my first time without my mom on her birthday. I knew watching one of your garden tours would cheer me up Laura. My mom absolutely loved her flowers. I know she has the most beautiful one in Heaven now. Thanks so much for sharing your love of gardening with us.
Your garden video tours are food for the soul. I’m bed ridden now, so your garden is the only one I get to spend time in and enjoy. Thank you. God Bless.
God bless you, Edith! I'm sorry you are stuck in a bed. I have degenerative disc disease and arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I am concerned that a day may come when I can't get up anymore. I'll be praying for you and I'm so thankful that one day soon, Jesus will show up and our bodies will be glorified and we won't know pain any longer! Hallelujah! Until then, I, too, am so thankful for these 2 young people and their joy ajd energy and their gardens that bring me so much joy since I can't do all that I used to do, either. Love in Christ Jesus, Marian
Does anyone save these long tours and videos like a little treat for yourself, or am I the only one?! I’ve saved this for just the right time to view! So now, Wednesday 7/31 at 5:15pm in NC is my time! Homemade beef bolognese simmering for dinner, lawn freshly mowed by my awesome teenage son in time for a rain shower and hubby on the way home from work...ahhhh time to relax and take a stroll through Laura’s garden! 🥰 I earned it lol! 💁🏼♀️
I agree with planting boxwoods where the hydrangeas are planted in front of the porch.( minute 33). And I like the idea of moving the pine and putting in a fountain with some boxwoods with annuals in the summer for a little color. Thank you for the tour. I like "enjoy the vista" . That's my excuse for not weeding when the heat index is 100 like today. My gardens look lush and tidy from my windows.
Karen Ross - likewise boxwoods in front of those hydrangeas will add the perfect structure. As for the other side I MHO a fountain might sound nice but against the white porch she needs greenery to add contrast. Gardening is such a personally creative endeavor they will figure out something perfect in the end.
I've just found your channel as I am looking for ideas to revamp my garden. What you have done for your property is beautiful and inspirational. Breathtaking!
Every time you say look down this way...vista...it takes my breath away. Especially the first one with the black bench. The first thought I had was this vista reminds me of a scene in Notting Hill. I too love the expanse of green lawn ever so often, a place for the eye to rest. 💚🌺🌿✨Thank you so much and thank you Aaron for the perfect squash 🎼.🤣 Oh yes to planting the hedge of boxwood.
I don't see work that needs to be done. I only see all the work that has been done and it is absolutely beautiful. It's such an inspiration to me. Thank you so much for sharing.
I would be so happy and grateful to have you as a friend and neighbor. I have my 72 year old parents and daughter that would love to have a garden like your parents 😊.... I am a sole provider for them and my daughter, and I trying my best to make there golden years memorable. It's a true blessing to have your videos and advice. God bless you and your family, and thank you so much for all your help and support. I wish you lived near me 😭
Your garden areas are coming to gather Beautifully 😍 I have been watching ...for some years now. I love the way you see the vision of what a area will look like. And you are not afraid to try and try again. I'm sure part of your good results is your passion for gardening. Thank you🥰🌺🥀🌻🪴🌲🌳🌾🏵💖
Please don’t apologize for your content, I love being along for the ride! And, it’s probably helpful to your viewers to see how reconfiguring can can be a long-term benefit to one’s property.
I love the quick flashback showing when you plant and what it looks like in year 2 or 3. It would be great to see full shows of before and after - is that something you could do?
Oh my goodness!!! You and Aaron have taken what was okay when you moved in to your home only 3 years ago and made it a literal floral masterpiece!!! You may see what needs done but all I see is the beauty and glory of God's beauty that y'all have created in that high desert area. Thank you so much for sharing that beauty with us and encouraging us to keep making our areas, no matter how big or small into the beauty that we desire to see when we look out or walk out into our yards!!! God's best to all 3 of you and the cats and the garden, too. And, special prayers for your zucchini plant! Love you guys to pieces!!! Marian
HURRAY!!! A garden tour! This makes my week....as I'll be watching it over and over again all week! A walk through your garden is such a joy, thank you. I'm also struggling with my zucchini and it helps to know I'm not alone.
Thank you so much for the inspiring and educational garden tour! What you and Aaron have done with this property is beyond amazing! There are too many beautiful things to mention, but I do want to thank you for showing the good and not so good things that we all deal with and then telling us what to do to fix it. Love the “Wah wah” Aaron added in with the zucchini! 🤣🤣So cute! You guys are wonderful!! May God continue to bless you, your beautiful family and your gardens abundantly! 💞💚🌸🌿
An envious hello from Manchester, UK, where we are having endless torrential rain and my lavender is literally submerged. How beautiful your garden is and how infectious your enjoyment and enthusiasm.
Coffee on the patio, nice weather now (going to be hot later) and Laura. Could not ask for a nicer morning! Love the Fire Light Hydrangeas but have to say that my favorite plant in that area was 2 (?) years ago - King Tut. Remember how tall they grew. Amazing!
Yes boxwood in front of the limelights - yes! that space needs some formality! your garden is really coming together - I love watching the evolution of this overgrown property into this beautiful tour worthy garden space!!
I can’t believe how GORGEOUS your gardens are becoming. It’s been sooo fun watching you tweak and build something your family truly loves. So glad to hear you say you are leaning toward the white for the long front entrance. You’ve got beautiful examples of cottage style gardens in a couple places. We have yet to see you go all out on an entirely white garden and whenever you do a tiny container in you, your joy is palpable. I think we would all love to see how happy you would be creating a gleaming, glowing, restful, wistful, peaceful white garden entrance to your home. Also, I think the boxwood hedge in front of the hydrangeas at the front of the house would be lovely. The you could back plant with something more wild or natural looking if you wanted or keep it nice and tidy. Maybe you could continue the hedge to the other side and help bring some of that balance you were talking about. Whatever you do, it will be lovely and we will love watching it. Thanks for all you do. 💚💛💜💚💛💜💚💛💜
Thank you so much for sharing. I keep checking if a video is out. Coz in India its time for evening coffee and it just gets awesome with your videos. It’s my wish to meet you in person one day. Maybe some day.
What a beautiful garden. It is progressing so well. Each area is beautiful and growing so well. Loved all the different grouping and containers. Thanks so much for giving us a tour, the lane is beautiful with the haystacks on the fence. Love that. See you in the next one.
Omg! Absolutely Gorgeous Garden! You are now my gardening guru! I'm blown away at how you can identify plants just by looking at them! How do you retain all those plant names?! Anyway, I'm just blown away by how stunning your garden is & all your hard work in keeping it looking amazing! I'm having lavender plant issues & have found all your videos super helpful! Thank you!
Really enjoy your garden tours. Thank you for keeping it real! Many do tours but never show the imperfections but you not only show them but tell us how to fix it! Precious garden!🌹
Yes for a garden tour to have coffee with Laura! Love the garden insanity moment and to hear you say things are a little willy nilly in some areas!! Everything looks wonderful and it is fun to see the things that take over or that don't do well so we have an idea as to how we would use the same plants. Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing!!!
Yes! So glad you did a full garden tour, I’ve really been jonesing for it. I love seeing how your garden evolves from one space to the other and how it all fits together as a whole. Thanks again Laura and Aaron I so appreciate all your hard work and creativity, your videos are my favorite way to start the day. 🥰
I ALWAYS enjoy your garden tours. I don’t see anything past it’s prime. Every area is just gorgeous! I agree, putting a boxwood hedge in front of the limelight hydrangeas would be beautiful.
Gorgeous. You've got colour in every bed and the different colours of foliage and texture also provide interest. I'm following this example now as I redo my gardens and I'm feeling very proud of myself for how much I've learned from your videos and actually have put into place. Thank you.
Thank you so much for showing me that you can prune the heck out of something and if you water and fertalize it won't die! I have always been afraid of that.
LOVE your garden tours, thank you for sharing with us! And thank you for sharing the "zucchini massacre", it's good to see/ know that even for a super experienced gardener not everything goes 100% perfect all the time.
Laura, I love, love, love that you are willing to show your gardens “warts and all” such a great learning experience for us all! Also I think it would be gorgeous to add a little boxwood hedge in front of your hydrangeas in the front porch area. Keep up the good work! 🌸🌼🌺💐👍😘
WOW just WOW!! Your home and gardens are truly beautiful and I can’t imagine the time and money you’ve invested to get it where it is! This is what I can only aspire and dream to have one day, and you have it now to enjoy! Thank you so much for sharing!! ❤️❤️
I just discovered your channel, I think you are an amazing young lady with a beautiful heart. I am sure your mom and dad must be so proud of you. Congratulations and thank you for all you do, you are a very special lady!
Wow!! I love your gardens. It’s amazing such a great show of plants. You have such a wonderful way of combining your plants. Your just a joy to watch. I don’t know how you remember all those names xx
Your gardens are such an inspiration. I have large garden areas and many are so random. I don't use annuals, ($) but I know you have many areas where you rely on perennials too, and I just love seeing your design and thought process with color and texture. I will watch this one many times to see different parts of the gardens and how they evolve. Thanks for the tour! I know weather has been crazy here (western Wasnington), but I have loved it, with more rain than in the previous 2 years. Plants are much happier this year I think because we aren't used to drought and this year we have reverted back to what has been a standard.
Just beautiful! Your hardworking has paid off. The little pathways lead to all different pockets of styles of plants. Thanks for sharing your garden with us. So peaceful!
Your gardens are amazing! Watching your videos is a perfect jumpstart to my day while having my first cup of coffee. Although Because of health reasons I can't get out and garden anymore, I get so much joy out of watching your enthusiasm.
I very rarely comment on RU-vid videos, but I have to commend you on your beautiful gardens and your great videos. Your presentation style and helpful comments are wonderful!
You property is magical! Thank you for the garden tour. The view from one garden across the yard is gorgeous. I can’t believe how large the lambs ear is!! I’ve only seen small ones- beautiful. Everything is SO pretty! 🌸💝
I look forward to seeing your garden tours and am never disappointed. Wow it's beautiful. Thanks for showing us we appreciate all your hard work. Have a wonderful day and I can't wait to see the next tour.
I love your garden tours! You are funny and genuine! Gardens always are evolving work and maintenance, but you keep yours beautifully!! I agree we need to see the beauty at every stage and not be frustrated over everything that needs done!! I don't know if you've ever heard of personality profiles, but you are definitely what they call a high C, you pay close attention to detail!! I know because I am too!! Your grounds are beautiful!!
So peaceful to stroll along with you on the garden tour. I love when my neighbors stop over and want to walk in my garden to check everything out. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful as always Laura 🌞💕🌞💕
Absolutely gorgeous! I love how you create these magical spaces with views so you can peek through and see more of the garden. It’s been really inspiring to me to work on my garden!
I love how you stopped at the "girls" intro as if they'd say "Hey!" This is so encouraging; the names of things come across fast, I find myself rewinding to write them down. Also love how you touched on the weather aspect of things knowing that "we're not in charge" of what happens. I'd love to see a video on a water system or starting one. I have just a few beds around our home nothing at all like what you have of course but never stop these videos! Wonderfully encouraging.
I find that trimming the limelight hydrangeas tree hard in the spring creates stronger branches. That can support the blooms and will not flop down when it rains. Also, train the climbing Rose's in an S form on the trellis. Helps in creating more blooms. Thanks for sharing your garden. Enjoyed the video.
I had a golden raintree cut down three years ago and the seedlings are still absolutely crazy. There’s hundreds of not thousands of them in my yard, three years later, and they’re impossible to pull up. I would never want one again!
There are so many things I love about your videos. They are always so positive, encouraging, and REAL. It makes me get out into my garden and do more. I have followed many of your tips so thank you for helping all of us! I really appreciate the great video work and editing too. Both of you put so much quality in your videos. You make a superb team!
