Surprisingly, my favorite book in July was nonfiction: Holding It Together: How Women Became America’s Safety Net by Jessica Calarco. It’s about how the US has been gutting all our social safety programs, and relying on (mostly) women’s unpaid and underpaid work instead. And then blaming these same individuals when they fail. It was eye-opening and enraging, but I like how she ended it with providing ways on how we can change these systems.
If I have to pick ONE I am picking Bury Your Gays. If I am allowed to make "tied for first place" we've also got Haunting of Velkwood, Nestlings, and the AUDIO of Feed.
