That was was a momentous reading month! Simmons! McCammon! Mieville! Some of my all-time favorites compressed into a single month of enjoyment. Whew! Fortunately, you have Follett teed up to provide a helpful dose of methadone to avoid crashing on the downslope from last month's high.

Hell yes man love the new intro! I totally agree with you on PSS! Thought it was a fantastic read with some issues but overall really enjoyed it and though Miéville’s world building and descriptions were incredible! You already know my thoughts on Swan Song lol….absolutely a new all-time favorite and I can’t wait to read more McCammon! Awesome wrap up man!

I'm so pumped for Pillars! And you are going to love The Great and Secret Show. It would be nice if the series wrapped up, but it doesn't feel terribly incomplete as a duology. Even the first book stands on it's own just fine. Great video!

Love the new intro, Baron! I can’t wait to hear the reactions from the Pillars readalong, it’s probably the longest tenured book on my TBR and I need to get to it! Currently planning on reading it around the holiday season and closing out the year with it.

Love the new intro my friend! Really glad you are enjoying McCammon - I have loved and given 5⭐️ to each of his books I’ve read so far. Can’t wait to see your opinions on the Matthew Corbett series. Excited to see your thoughts on Pillars of the Earth - I love that book and want to re-read it and continue with the series.

Really digging that new intro Baron. You've me intrigued to check out McCammon, Mieville and McMurty. I've to read more McCarthy. I was reading Blood Meridian but put it down for now as I was also replaying RDR2 so I wasn't in the mood for another Western. July I read, an admittedly absurd amount, but I was already a quite a way through some of them by the start of the month: *Fantasy* Black Company - Glen Cook Four Revelations - R Scott Bakker (short story) - I read this twice and still haven't a clue what happened lol Still good but wild Long Price Quartet 1: Shadow in Summer *Historical-Fiction* Bernard Cornwell's Grail Quest Trilogy - Huge miss for me, mostly cuz of Book 3. I know he wrote a 4th book but I've 0 interest. Gates of Fire - Steven Pressfield - This was the pick me up I needed after Grail Quest and its become one of my favourite books. *Horror* I Am Legend - Richard Matheson - So good I read it in 1 sitting. Song of Kali - Dan Simmons - Kinda underwhelming. *Sci-Fi* Ogres - Adrian Tchaikovsky (novella) - This might be my favourite novella I've ever read. One Day All This Will Be Yours - Adrian Tchaikovsky (novella) - Pretty fun take on time-travel. Are you still reading The Darkness That Comes Before?

Thank you!!! They are Mylar jacket covers. The ones I typically purchase are from a company called Brodart. They are precut sheets that you just fold onto the cover. Not sure if they ship internationally, but most library supply stores sell them :)
