#No pesticides #No chemical fertilizers #Farming only with fermentation compost After the rainy season, the heat wave has arrived. I hope you all stay healthy and have a safe summer! Thank you for watching today~🙏😊
Glad that you and your family are unharmed. I enjoy your videos and learn from them. I hope you find the strength and will to garden wherever you move to. It clearly brings you much happiness and your family such healthy food.
I've been growing heirloom tomatoes since several years and they do really good in my climate. Since we don't have freezing cold winters we can grow them a little longer until the summer comes and the harsh heat kills them. Last year we got bountiful harvest from just 5-7 plants. We ate fresh as much as possible and sun-dried the rest
I'm really envious of your country's climate. Korean summers are getting hotter and more unpredictable 😢. I would like to grow heirloom tomatoes if I get a chance ^^. Thank you so much~! I hope you always have a healthy and happy day~😊
Looking forward to seeing your new garden. Here where I live in the United States we get most of our rain in the spring and fall and the summer is dry, but it has been dry since last June, not much spring or fall rain and almost no snow. Got a little rain the last 2 days, still needing more but it helps. So many different things to do with tomatoes, I thank you for new ideas. I canned almost 70 litres of tomatoes already and made marmalade and jam from them this year already, no cucumbers this year yet, early ones all got eaten by animals. First watermelon yesterday, canned 21 litres of fermented cabbage ( sauerkraut). I feel for those who had a bad rainy season, wishing them comfort and recovery. Thank you for sharing and wishing you a safe and easy move.
I think it's getting harder and harder to grow vegetables outdoors as the weather becomes more unpredictable. I believe that a good way is always within me. I think you and I are looking at the same place, even though we are far apart, so your comment feels reassuring ^^. I'm curious about your canned tomatoes 😉 . I hope you are always healthy~^^😊
@@jjamgarden they are tomatoes that I peel and cook then pack into glass jars. Then I cap them and process in a pressure canner for 20 minutes under 5 lbs of pressure, allow to cool down before opening canner. The older way uses a boiling water bath but that takes much more wood to heat the water and makes house hotter. They can be stored for 1+ year that way. I would freeze more of them but I have limited freezer space that I save for berries, seeds and vegetables that do not can or dry well or store better in freezer like cabbage seeds or maize seed that I will plant next year. I do have a video on my channel that shows example of what tomato jam and tomato marmalade looks like when it is done.
I've been watching and learning from your channel and have subscribed. My country has high humidity, so canning often fails, so I eventually opted for freezing, but someday I'll try your method. Thank you for the good information~^^
@@jjamgardenI have a small house so I have not much room for large freezer, our humidity can be a problem with drying and storage of dry food, jar lids rust if stored for long time so I do get some failure too. I learn a lot from your channel as well, many new ideas to try, many different plants to try. As our climate changes things that used to grow well fail and I've had to change the way that I garden, grow different plants that take more heat, dry weather followed by wet. Stay safe and thank you very much for sharing.
Hello from Greece. What you did with tomatoes and cucumbers, if you added a little green sweet pepper, olives and a little oregano (but without the basil) you would have the traditional "village" summer Greek salad. If instead of mozzarella, add feta cheese (don't know if it's available in Korea) the result will be amazing. May you always be healthy and happy. Your videos are very beautiful and relaxing like a dream.Oh, I forgot... the salad also needs chopped onion for the smell and taste, lol.
your video is very interesting. i am also building my own small farm. i come from vietnam and i think i need your guidance so i can build my farm better.😊
