5 Things You Must Do: 1. Get your autumn and winter listing plan ready. Make sure you're listing as frequently as you can during this season. 2. Halloween! Get your listings in NOW! List 5+ listings. 15 or 20 if you can. 3. Housekeeping! Prepare your store for winter sales rush. Create sections for your listings and link to those in your description. Make it easy for your customers. 4. Look at your primary photos. Try to improve the quality to increase conversion rate. 5. List slowly. If you're new: Don't list tons of products at once unless you're making 10-15 orders a day.
Just wanted to say, I have recently opened my Digital Etsy store 2 weeks ago and have been following all your advice. So far have achieved 8 organic sales and over 450 views. The key is QUALITY over QUANTITY. 1 listing a day has been perfect for me. And not bothering with social media much.
Hi, I find your content really professional and helpful, It would be much more helpful when you link the videos in the description that you mentioned in the video. Thank you
Your videos are so helpful! Would you consider making another video about vintage selling on Etsy? My vintage reselling store is what I struggle the most with and there seems to be the least amount of support online for it.
Hi Zoe, thanks for the suggestion. Honestly, most people who watch me just aren't interested in vintage, I have made a note of your idea though. Based on what you have said, I would strongly suggest you book in for a free discovery call with me so that I can take a good look at your business and advise you on how we can work together in a consultative capacity to improve your store, link is below if you would like to do this: etsy-consultant.com/services/discovery-call/
Why would you not want to list if you’re not selling? Wouldn’t you want to increase your odds of selling by increasing the number of listings you have?
Generally you should list yes, but it is about listing velocity, not listing in general. Most stores list too fast with too few sales, and take no account of the time of year. July and August are dead on Etsy so we have to remember that in reflection of our store performance.
Hi!, OK sunlight Creates shadows, distorts colors, looks really bad overall as you also get bright spots in the shot. But you do you, if you like it, go for it it, my job is to make you sales, and sunlight doesn't make sales in my experience.
Thank you for the video! Lot of experts advise not to change the main photo of a listing that is selling well so that rankings are not lost, what is your advice?
Thanks for your great advice. I have section link on all my listings but when I check my visits, realize that one item from a section had seen and visitors did not see other items of that section. I think buyers do not read or even find product description so they do not see section links at all. Am I right?
I just started out and watched your video SEO in 10 minutes. Regarding the tags, is there any disadvantage to put 3 words on 1 tag if they are short, e.g. XMAS, Father, Son?
So, I know the goal digital supply stores around 350 items. And the listing goal is 1 per day. But how many items should I “launch” with if I don’t have any items yet? (While keeping in mind the posting of 1 per day minimum after I’ve posted a number of “launch” products.)
@@VictorMartinez-ss3ff I actually saw another vid of his, so I no longer need an answer. 1 per day. No more. Don’t rush. Not even 2 per day. Until you get some sales. Then you can list more. But if you post too fast (more than 1 per day) your store will be dead in a few months likely. Etsy needs time to know what your store is about, know you’re working your store. 1 per day to 100 listings unless you get some good sales, then you can start doing more. I don’t need an answer to this anymore. Thanks, Nik, for these videos. (Highly recommend 100 listings course bid. Has everything anyone needs to know to launch)
@@etsyconsultant Okay thanks. Just for clarification, your other video said not to do more than 1 per day until you have sales coming in. Victoria says 1 to 2. So is it 1 only, or 1 to 2 per day?
@@etsyconsultant thinking that, don’t we all have to allow for the northern hemisphere seasons etc., because that’s where most buyers are, but also thinking as a southern hemisphere resident it’s just annoying when I see everything for spring while I’m languishing in winter. Who best to aim for serving?
I would like to understand something. To list very slowly in this period July August, what do you mean? One listing a week, two a week? What is better? I have a shop opened in February
