Jump The Canyon - BeamNG Drive 

Yep, this is a throwback from when if I remember a lancer and one other was able to do it while still able to drive

*sees premise, immediately envisions Bolide getting cut in half.

It's been a while since this series.

To pull up the front while mid-air, shift into top gear and floor it! "Every action has an equal and opposite re-action" - the energy you put into spinning up the wheels will equally be applied towards rotating the entire car. Slamming the brakes or flooring it in reverse will pull the nose down, meanwhile.

Only disappointment is none of them had car horns that played "Dixieland" while making the jump.

The Sunburst at 118 mph would have been perfect and not had slight chassis, door and suspension issues.

You can influence the rotation in air. Keep on throttle and gear up all the way to spin up the wheels and make the car nose up, or brake and make it nose down. Might not do much on a car close to top gear red line and/or small wheels, but with larger wheels and/or a lot of room to top gear red line it definitely can. You can also time a throttle off/brake just before take off to initiate a spin once in air.

SInce what, 2014? Good throwback. A way to stop nose diving is hitting the brakes after you lift off, the wheels spinning forward creates enough force to rotate the car forward in flight, so hit the brakes to stop them. You can even grab reverse to rotate the other way on lighter cars.

I guess I'll sort that into my Long Jump playlist. The concept is pretty similar

This is what the content was like when I started watching in 2015-16. One of my favorite series on the channel, Canyon Rally, was on this same map I'm pretty certain. I also really liked the rally stage from the Horizon 3 builds.

Alex and that 8th-10th gear change in the truck were definitely not good friends, he just couldn't get the shift right. :P

This brings me back i remember the original episode. My pre video prediction is that this will be much easier as beamngs various physics and drivetrain updates makes the cars just generally faster than they were back then

Interesting concept of putting an engine of a great warplane like the Supermarine Spitfire was and putting it into a car. I would be courious to see a Merlin Engine from a P-51 inside a car.

Still one of the best maps.

Alex i didnt know you were a fan of Red Bull Hardline! As soon as videos of the Canyon jump take off (literally, badum tzzz) you bring back an absolute classic! love it!

For challenges like this I would love a crash test dummy. See if the driver could survive to actually drive off after some of the survived but harsher landings like the rolls.

What if a car survives the jump, you turn it around and try again on the other direction? Going back and forth till it dies or fails to make the jump. Could be a way to actually make this a series similar to driven till destruction. Car with most crosses wins. Could work for MP as well.

The Sunburst is perfect. It is how you pick your mum up from the airport.

Would be cool to see if cars can make the jump driving from the opposite end.

I think thats a Mitsubishi Colt not a mirage, I once had a colt and dropped an Evo engine into it. That monster is the only car I ever regret selling!

You can probably raise and stiffen-up suspension on this Coupe and it will land with no damage.

I remember these, back when everyone used the Evo 9 rally car mod.

You could probably direct the landing by using gas and brakein the air like you would do irl.

It would be cool if you could add ballast in beam like in the back or front it could be easy but very hard i dont know coding
