›› A fun vlog for you guys this week! I decided that I needed to jump a couple of bigger fences to get my mind back in the zone and I think mission was accomplished! Feeling super positive about the horses and really looking forward to this weekend's show. Also Dali actually has different plans for this weekend since I filmed this video.. I will explain all hopefully it goes well :)

The way they're both soaring over those big fences is just stunning to watch. Khal just 'popping' over that 1m50 oxer was something else. Amazing job with both your gorgeous golden boys!

While I was watching you jump Khal, I couldn't help but think back to when you were backing him. I don't think any of us were prepared for his level of talent!! And now Dali has found his rhythm and is able to organize his body to jump so beautifully. I am truly in awe of how well you have brought these guys along. They are both so relaxed and happy doing their jobs!!

Khal looks younger and almost unrecognizable on the "new" feed racehorse cubes if I remember right. Amazing what Dali is doing too! Great work!

Kahl makes everything so effortless. But it is Dali who impressed me even more. Dali looked like he struggled a bit sometimes but I always thought it was because everything was too small. This year. Dahli is on fire! He’s finally figured out how to get his legs to go where he wants them to go! He makes me laugh at his changes with that hopp! But even that has changed and he understands the lead change better. I do think you are right about them both. Khal could jump with anyone who is fearless enough to do the big jumps. And Dali-boy. There is nothing he won’t be able to do. Your riding is always beautiful to watch but I think you are right. Just let these boys go and not try to overthink it. You are a quiet, lovely rider but I think when the jumps get really big you have a tendency to want to slow them down and set them up. (Like I could ever do this!) but when you move them on and it’s what they want too they both just fly! Good luck this weekend. Trust these lovely boys. Get that great canter and sit back and enjoy all of your hard work in the past!!❤

Thank you! You’re totally right about going for the rein coming to bigger fences when I actually need to go for the leg! Getting back into the swing of it now though ☺️

Hi Holly -- Always love to see the boys. They both make jumping look effortless -- which is kind of cool, right? Many thanks for sharing these experiences with us. [Gotta give a little shout-out to Dad -- great job with the cinematography!] Best regards to you, your peeps, and your critters. JV

Your Golden Boys are superb!!! 🤩🤩 Well done Holly. It's insane watching you jump Rocky at 90cm for months and just within an eye blink you fly over 1,50m 😱

You definitely have two golden boys, and their personalities are so cute!! I love your videos Holly, meaning it in the best way, I feel like I'm not alone in being where I am in life and "still" wanting what I want. Such an inspiration!

They are both BRILLIANT! holly you have brought them along so beautifully. Those doubles with Khal were gobsmaking; the first time around it was like he had extra springs in his legs to get himself over the second fence. I think the relationship you have with your horses makes them trust you so much -- you point, and they jump. What equine poetery in motion; Dali too, has really been able to organize himself so well within that large and talented body. Definitely two legends!!!!!

OMG they both look great. As a dressage rider I would love some info on what you are feeling as the different between the two. What makes you feel like a horse is ready to jump at the next level. Honestly huge props to you for jumping and producing to this level. I personally would love to know what is different between the levels you show at and the “professional” levels. That would be amazing if you are looking for video content.

Kahl seems better over the bigger fences, its almost like he's lazy when theyre below 130😄 Have you considered getting someone else (like an instructor, or seasoned competitor) to compete Kahl, one you can see how he goes, two it prepares him for a futire owner and different people riding him three he might really outperform himself, and allow him to compete at a level you're not familoar at or confident in❤

they're looking fab Holly can't wait to watch all the vlogs this season!! random thought I had was when the boys get older you could maybe jump them 1.60 and compare photos side by to Fiona would be quite interesting! love how you add in the bad and talk about ways to improve like with the double you came around again and it was spot on :) missing your dads commentary and giggles!

Is that just hard dirt you’re schooling them over? Sounds and looks hard as a rock. Doesn’t that put too much compression on the joints especially the fetlocks? Thanks

dali would make such a good american hunter/eq horse he has that slower canter to him and a much slower jump which makes it look effortless!! khal is 100% a jumper no questions asked lol 🥰😇😂

It is so funny but true when I first started watching you (many many years ago) I never commented and didn’t even know what the like button was for, but as an American I watched other RU-vidrs too and I kept thinking “That is a hunter?” Not about you but other folks. In the States hunters don’t jump that high but everything is so slooooow. It’s just about them traveling slow to a fence, popping it with their legs tight and keeping the bascule perfectly. Dali is wonderful at the “slowness” but I think he would not really make a hunter (maybe I’m not an expert) because his jump is so powerful that I don’t know if he could pull it off! Oh he would jump whatever they put in front of him but the lower fences would just bore him😀
@gabiudoff
@gabiudoff 5 месяцев назад
@@debbieredmon5063 I agree with this. I feel like Dali would benefit from some time going cross country. Hunters would bore him, but I bet he'd love a good gallop.
