Thanks for that. I had an issue on one of the two jog wheel switches such that the model select / reset etc menu would not come up. Removed the jog wheel assembly and soaked the switches in contact cleaner (Servisol Super 10) and hey presto. The ribbon was AOK. The only issue I had was that the power / SD board isn't captive and it ended up popping out of its slot, which meant that the SD card wouldn't go in until I repositioned it correctly. All in all - it's OK for now. I have not been impressed with the T16 Pro hardware, although I love the multiprotocol approach. It has so much potential but is compromised by some unreliable components. Having said this - I bought a new DX8 recently and it's worse than the T16 Pro for quality and reliability so far. Had to send it away to have the jog wheel replaced, and now the screen can't deal with cold weather and gets obscured by graphics from previous menus. This has made me like my Jumper a bit more ...
How is your jumper t8sg v2? Is it holding well? I'm planning to get the t8sg v2 carbon as my first controller. I will use it for simulator before buying beginner fpv drone.

Add a small dab of grease to the larger end of the roller wheel where it rubs on the momentary switch, it made my wheel feel 10 times better. Did this repair last week. GetFpv in the US took care of me!
What kind of screw driver do you use to get to the bottom two embeded "deep" in the plastic back plate. I have right philips bit just nothing long and skinny enough without breaking plastic
@@CKone41 to open radio cover there are 6 screws (2top, 2 middle, 2 bottom) the bottom screws are deep thus normal size tools don't fit in the small hole to get to the screws. Get it ?
I came to see specifically the scroll-wheel ribbon connector as I just got my radio and out of the blue, the scroll wheel is jumping all over the place in the lcd menu.. It doesn't matter which direction you scroll, it does what it wants to. Has this happened to anyone ? Is it in fact the ribbon cable that needs to be reset? Or is it corrupted software?
Been enjoying your video's for a while now - especially as you now have the Jumper T16. Was interested in your review before I bought one. Wanted to bind a FrSky G-RX8 (with inbuilt vario). But cant get the telemetry to be recognised by the T16 (binds to Tx in other respects). I noticed on Andrew Newtons channel there was a step when he was binding, that having selected bind, he then pressed enter (on a Taranis) and got a sub menu 'Telemetry ch1-8 ON, Telemetry ch1-8 OFF etc. Pressing enter to accept that and then it binds. So I realised my T16 didn't offer that sub menu during binding, but looking at the (nearly complete) T16 manual it shows the same sub menu... Do you get that sub menu on your T16 on binding to a FrSky Rx.....? Any advice would be much appreciated! Cheers Andy
@@CKone41 Hi Thanks for an amazingly fast response -Top bloke! Just tried that and still not getting that option :-( This is a new Tx to me (currently DX8) and the first Rx I have tried to bind. Could there be a fault with the Tx or firmware??
Andy Milton that’s strange mate if you select frisky it should let you change below to d8 d16 etc.... when you hit bing on the d16 it should come up with a sub menu which allows you to select the 4 options

Im sure it is easy. I was hoping to see it being done before doing it. It would make sense to replace the new wheel in reverse of removing the old one. Seeing the case screws and removed as well as the scroll wheel board is helpful and I’ll find out more when I replace all my flat cables as soon as the upgrades arrive.
Replacing the cables is your biggest worry as the sockets on the board are only soldered on no adhesive has been used to ensure they have no movement. Replacing the wheel is really easy hence no need for a further video
