Only GOD knows. After 36 years in legal field, human behavior and 27 in privilege of ministry (with Teen Challenge remotely) ~ obliterated in warfare, 30+ years past diagnoses I live. Humbling. Against all I war to purpose my heart fixed for eternity. Devil a liar. GOD greater. I KNOW my Redeemer lives. Only he knew my despair as day dawned again with agonizing suffering, critical illness. You have shown much courage amidst such a heavy battle that can sometimes seem too much to bear. Know that you are loved and God is beside you; and is not judging you nor is He mad at you. When your heart hurts, so does His. I will pray for you every day dear heart. Pray for those who are in physical pain & have no hope now of being relieved of it. We don't have a prescription opioid problem. It's an illegal drug problem & it's been proven as such. Only 3% of the population becomes addicted to opiods & that's because they have a gene that causes it. That leaves the 96% who desperately need pain relief without it. This whole crisis has been about greed & it's slowly starting to come out & who the culprits are. Meanwhile we have more addicts dying & more people with serious painful conditions & diseases going without & committing suicide. Yes despairing of life. I think of suicide daily as my physical pain is never dulled enough to even clean my tiny apt. It breaks my heart that people are taking their lives. How many do so & don't know Jesus? Pray that things will turn around. Pray that God sends someone to tell them about Jesus. It may not stop the suicides knowing Jesus, but they won't be lost forever. Physical suffering is real & it's torture. Think about having abdominal surgery where your muscles etc are cut, then the surgeons moving things around & being stitched back up & given ibuprofen only for pain afterwards or a limb cut off & given nothing for the pain. It's happening.

@@Stefan77777 What a sweetheart you are!! I just went through a pain flare but it's becoming a bit more manageable thank you. Jesus always gets me through sometimes minute by minute but He's faithful. I have someone I see who fights for me to keep my pain meds. Until 2016 I was on a stable dose until forcibly reduced like millions of others. There's a church my son & I attend when my pain is low enough to go. We haven't been able to go a lot but do when I can. It's so frustrating when I was able to function with my pain controlled to becoming unable to function much. But, like the Bible says, the suffering we do here is not comparable to what God has for us in heaven. I pray for those suffering who don't know the Lord. So many commit suicide or go to illicit opiods. There's no reason why people have to suffer but here we are. I have my 26 year old son who has chosen to stay with me & he helps me so much. I couldn't do it without him & I thank God every day for him. I hope you are not suffering as well. I'm praying for all of us. God is good no matter what. We're going home soon & knowing that really does help. May God bless you & keep you!!
At 24: he says that we have the POWER to take control of out thoughts. He obviously has never been mentally ill or severely depressed/demonically oppressed. If people felt powerful they would not kill themselves. He lacks real experience in speaking of things he never experienced Himself. It is easy to say that someone should do this or that when you yourself never experienced their suffering.
I agree with that part. It did encourage me overall, but the whole idea of refusing certain thoughts is not that easy or even healthy. You need to think things through to get better sometimes. Forgiveness also needs processing. But that theology of expecting quick victory is common among Pentecostals.
Then I would suggest that you don't have the Holy Spirit in your life. Sure, it's not always easy. But when you belong to Jesus, a way out will be delivered. Believe me, I've been on the brink of suicide many times before coming to Christ. But when those thoughts creep in, I'm presented with God's Word - like this message. It's a reminder that God has greater things planned for us. Don't misinterpret what I'm saying. I know it feels impossible at times. But I'm still alive. Isn't that evidence enough?
