This month we will be joined by Rachel Ralston and Fatima Juarez from CA Housing and Community Development. They will be talking about the ReCoverCA 2020 Housing Programs and how they could be useful for Sonoma County homeowners.
ReCoverCA 2020 Housing Programs are CDBG-DR funds managed by the California Department of Housing and Community Development. These 2020 programs consist of two grant opportunities available to Sonoma County homeowners:
Owner-Occupied Mitigation Retrofits Program: Grants of up to $50,000 to low- and moderate-income, single-family homeowners who have fire mitigation or home hardening/defensible space needs on their property and are located in Sonoma County (does not need to be in a burn scar or WUI area).
Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program: Grants of up to $500,000 to low- and moderate-income, single-family homeowners whose homes were damaged or destroyed in a qualifying disaster (LNU Lightning Fire & Glass Fire) and have remaining rehabilitation or reconstruction needs.
