I started a bullet journal to force myself to be « artistic ». I had vision of doing spreads like Plant Based Bride/Journal away. Not realistic one bit. So I am doing more of a scrapbooking approach and love it. I also bought the Reverie journal thinking it would be my 2025 journal but after your comment on the texture paper that kill pens I will pivot and keep it as a nice art sketchbook where I will learn watercolour, gouache and ink.🌸
It definitely depends on the kinds of pens you use, but yeah… I didn’t have much luck with felt tip fineliners so if that’s what you also use, then relegating it to a sketchbook is not a bad idea 😅
Good on you for sticking to the plan of using paint in your spreads for the 6 months you were in this journal! I also know I dislike textured paper - the only thing I will us it for is soft pastels, and even then, it kinda icks me out. 😩 This month's theme is one of my favourites from you so far, though. So pretty and soft!
I think u can do sth like Elizabeth from "Plant based bride". She draws on a sketchbook and then scans it. Later glues it to her journal. U can make it like that, I think u can do that for the cover page like this and decorate rest with stickers and doodles. Ana from journal away also does it. Honestly, you have succeeded. Not only have you managed to paint every month but your art style has improved a lot. So, I am super duper happy for you Erin !!
@@ErinSmith yeah after the recent unboxing I can def understand the itch. I'm also very excited. I will return to my journal in June ( took a break since wasn't working) so I am oh so happy to use my stationery.
Those flowers are the cutest! 🌸🌸 Even though your painting journey has been fun to watch, I am really excited that you are going back to washi and stickers!!
🌷🪻⚘️So pretty. I love the layouts. As a not really artistic but want to be artistic kinda girl I think I could paint a these kinds of flowers and it might actually look pretty. Love the colors you selected for it.
This is such a pretty decoration! ❤ I don't mind textured paper, but i don't really have a bullet journal. I'm tempted to make my own with watercolor paper, cause i loooove watercolor, and love to paint with them. It would be a cool new experience. 🌺
I recently discovered you and I love watching what you do. I've been working in a Happy Planner for almost 2 years now and am starting to want a change. I'm thinking of doing a bullet journal and had no idea how to start. Watching your videos has given me some ideas and a place to start one.
hello Erin I have a friend going on a 14 day trip and I would love to make her a travel journal in advance. She is not into journals, but I think she'd love a memory book that she can enter her days activities. As she is going to India, I can embelish the pages with the beautiful theme of rich colours etc I wonder if you could show us something fitting a 'travel journal in advance ' Hope that makes sense. Kindest regards and thank you for your delightful, informative videos
Hi there! I already have a few travel journal videos on my channel - you might find something fitting in one of them! These are the spreads I set up in advance of a 5 week Europe and UK trip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V_Ia4EvMoZk.htmlsi=mca_gfFmv72w-MvJ And this is the completed journal, plus some tips I learned along the way! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AR8p0wa9vY8.htmlsi=KYpN71awIgfolYz1
Ooh, this is gorgeous! I love the pastel flowers with the gold lines. I’ve been looking forward to setting up June, anyway, but now I’m extra excited to get into it!
