Absolutely Beautiful! You had a vision & a dream! I get your creative mind, I am an artist and I understand when you talk about that "Pop of Color"! Very Nice, great job!
Need your fabulous designers eye in our garden. Love that you're self taught....fills me with hope. You've shared scapes and ideas which I'll try to replicate...key word 'try'. Wish me luck!
You have created something very beautiful for your family. Love everything, especially the moon gate. Keep going, no matter what the neighbors say. LOL.
Thanks for the inspiration! Our backyard is in the same situation as your, a few weeks ago it get worse, our garden was flooded because of too much rain. I think a dry creek like yours is our next solution, thank you!!
I don't understand people who can ever think that there is too much garden going on! Whaaat? If my neighbour had as gorgeous a yard as you do, I would be so very grateful. The privacy screening going on, the bird habitats being built, the sheer beauty! Wouldn't that be raising the values of all of your neighbours' properties? I don't understand non-gardeners... I also love adding weird, rusty elements, old baskets, etc. to my garden. Just something different than foliage for the eye to rest on. Our neighbours put a slightly rusting out fire bowl on the curb. Of course we scooped it up and are using it as a fire bowl. But inside was this rusted orb of steel. Don't know what it's purpose was, but I now have it hanging from a shepherds hook with a candle in a mason jar suspended inside. I love it.! Your gardens are so whimsically enchanting. Keep up the good work! Christine from Toronto, Canada (also Zone 6a)
Yes, that is so good - the clematis with some birdhouse elements. I love the pond! I wish I could be that talented and powerful to do a landscape like that. Your garden is just beautiful!
Gotta say this channel is gonna go big time, no doubt about it. So hang in there your channel is going to EXPLODE 💥💥💥. So sorry about your sweet dog, we recently lost our 11 yr old Golden Retriever, it broke our hearts.
I just love your garden. Nothing unattainable. By incorporating garden spaces as you fixed issues with drainage in your yard and so forth; you created such a wonderful, welcoming space. I love it!
What you have is not karma. You have been given an amazing gift by the Creator God to bring forth beauty, and give joy and peace to those who view your beautiful garden.
Love this ! So glad I found your channel !! I am amazed that you did all this in just a few years ! We used to cut wheat in the Dodge City / Garden City / Kalvesta area !!🌾 so we know that area well ! Looking forward to seeing more of your yard !
Such a small world. I get a lot of feed back from people who lived or had something like what you explained from that area. Fun!!!!! Thank you for watching.
So much for a short video 😍. I hate when people say this is going to be short and an hour later …. Go for it man 😍!!! I love the stories learning about others RU-vidrs. I love your garden and the story behind it. I get to know fellow “crazies” - no, no “lovers” of gardening. My driftwood encouraged termites. Had to get rid of it. I take it now that you’ve went crazy in the garden and you are NOT going anywhere and starting over?!? I know people who have done it so you might say yes. Anyway - new sub. Enjoying the channel. Thanks for sharing. Oh oh what does that neighbor think NOW??? Are they still around??? 👩🏾🌾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Your garden is beautiful with elegance and whimsy in perfect balance! Front & back theses are amazing plants and trees! And you’re a great storyteller and I love hearing too !!!
Hi, you were recommended by my good friend Janette from The Enthusiastic Gardener channel, so here I am. You have a lovely garden, great use of space and some intriguing design ideas!
Love your videos Mike!!! I love more, your story of how you loved Moxie so much that these are her gardens...you made them for her! 💕 I understand very well how you feel! It's one of life's hard things we endure. God bless you all! I am watching beautiful garden videos in January because I can't wait for Spring. It's all so beautiful! 🤗🌹💮🌼🌺
Wow I can’t find the right words to describe how beautiful your garden is. I love the uneven wooden walk ways the uneven round wooden borders, the metal elements and the color variations are Spectacular. Ann from Va.
Hello Mike , So much hard work but all of it planned with love 💗 that’s why we call it gardening 🧑🌾 it’s a credit to you just stunning 🤩 thank you for sharing your video . Your neighbours must be so envious . I love every bit of your beautiful garden 🪴 🧤👒🦘🐨🇦🇺 🙌🥰
I don’t know how you give up the yard that looks as beautiful as yours I know it’s near all the neighbors but it is a beautiful yard you’ve done awesome good job building a beautiful place to sit and rest and enjoy your evening hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy you’ve built in wonderland to be enjoyed
Really enjoyed your rambling and the garden and your creativity. I think the some of the best gardens are made from scratch. I love how nature has found your garden and made it their home. Birds singing and flitting in and out of the trees in the background as you video and the creatures, you said, that have found your pond.
This is the second or third video I boss of yours all your videos are beautiful thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful channel with all of us and a beautiful piece of property I can tell you put a lot of time work into your garden because they’re so beautifully put together hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy you know I’ll be back for more
What can I say, lol I love everything about your yard! So appealing to this Gardners eye! I adore the shed with those great side windows. My shed didn’t have windows on one side, so I got some old windows and hung up and painted designs on. Keep your videos coming!!! Ok now I’m rambling, lol squirrel 🐿
Oh My Goodness! I am out of Norman Ok and have discovered your channel - be still my heart! I love your landscaping and your artistic flair - - - - love love love it !!!!!!!
Thank you for the tour!! Love the fence and bike just the way you intended. I can see my son or daughter’s bike parked just before they head out to play ball with friends. I can also see them toss their cleats over the fence.
I love the history and wonderful ideas behind your garden it makes it more interesting 😃 today I’m looking for an old watering can to tuck into my garden space so happy gardening everyone 🪴🌺🪴
Love your videos and how you have a story behind everything there. Could you maybe do a planting video and talk about the kind of soil your use and/or fertilizers? Everything about your yard is inspiring. Keep it up!
I've noticed that when you start to create privacy, some neighbors don't like that. I had one set of neighbors (across the street) have a fit when i put up a fence and some skip laurel for a hedge. They like to sit around their pool every night looking into my front yard. Meanwhile i would like to block some weeds across the way and get some privacy. You gotta do what makes you happy. Your yard looks like such a happy place! Very beautiful!
There are so many interesting plants, shrubs, and trees. Maybe you could do a few videos on how to grow some of those more unusual plants. I'd love to start integrating those, but not sure how they'll do.
Wow the Channel is growing fast and that’s a great think because you have a beautiful flower garden/ yard and every flower/plant loving person need to see it because I love it and I’ve gotten idea from you for my small Japanese flowerbed so you’re doing something right. 😊🌹🪴🌷🌸
I just stumbled across your channel and boy am I glad!! What great spaces! I love it all!! I think you have a great imagination! I wish you could do mine! Lol Awesome job!
My new favorite tour to watch. Can't wait to see what comes next. Your story about Roxie touched my heart because we love boxers. We have had 3 boxers and 2 German Shepherds and each was hard to let go but gave us so much joy.
Love the history and how the family is all behind it and support the beautiful transformations. The contrasting and pops of color just capture the eye. Thanks for sharing!
You have an amazing eye for design! It’s amazing that you aren’t formally trained. You were born to do this, man!!! 🤩 Congrats on the success of this channel; well deserved 👌
Hi Mike, lovely walking around with you. Lots to say but in particular I really like the little wooden bench seat right at the start and also your lovely cloud pruned topiary on the left of the garden. All so lovely 😍
Your garden is PERFECT! fence and all...LOVE IT..you've captured my eclectic garden desires..and will be working on the side of my house. I've been collecting "good/cute junk" to place throughout. I'm only holding back thinking if I should wait to after renovations..didn't want my things trampled during house painting and brick lime washing...🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
Do what makes the heart happy and if that means you do it today then perhaps it was meant to have a little house coloring added to the mix!! Thank you for sharing your story!!
Your garden and the story behind it is so inspiring. BTW beautiful garden! If you have before pictures 📷 of your garden it would be wonderful 😊if you could share it with us.
just ran into this channel. omg! love, love. i am so amazed and inspired. hardscape in first and the rest follow... got it! please keep producing more videos.
I'm only five minutes in the video and have to say that you guys did an excellent job with your garden. The selections of plants you used brings such harmony. I just love it!😍😍😍
I just found your channel from another garden channel I was watching and WOW!!! Your garden is sooooo BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE what you have done and your water features (what a way to take care of the water situation...A GREAT idea) I’ve been watching some new gardening channels and you all have inspired me to adding more to my little garden...I don’t have much of a yard, but try to do what I can...I just subscribed to your channel and cannot wait to see more...
What an inspiration! I’m just beginning a small yard redo and it overwhelms me the number of ideas that I physically & financially cannot keep up with ! But watching this, shows to keep on keeping on, despite bad back and all !🙌 Good Job ! 👏👏🪵🌳🌿🪴🌸🌞
I love 💕 your garden so much. It’s so much fun. I’m building a garden now in my front side yard. I have a long way to go, (but no naughty words for me) I would love for mine to look it yours! There’s something beautiful at every turn!
I can’t stop watching, it’s just so amazing & inspirational!!! I am curious about the maintenance of it all. I know it’s a labor of love but it would be interesting to understand how y’all manage everything. Thank you for sharing this with us!!!
The maintenance is very minimal!! I have to mow twice a week and occasionally pick a weed or two. Maybe add a bit of water to something that looks thirsty but pretty chill. Thanks for the question.
WOW, this was so fun, I just bought a house in North Florida and am in the process of the gardens, hope my neighbors get it, so far so good...my style was always to make me disappear...groups of large plantings, like banana trees and tree ferns, palms and papaya with paths flowing through the mystery gardens to the back patios...I have so much clutter in my mind, but it all just works out, I totally get it and livin alone at age 72 is a struggle at times, but I pace myself...I grew up in the 60's when us hippies respected Nature and had no fear of hard work...and this ol' granny wants more...more is more, right...great stuff, I'm in...!
You're an artist and an amazing craftsman. This channel now goes on the top of my list for daily inspiration! I love everything about it. Please don't apologize for getting distracted in your narration. Us gardeners are all OCD types and can relate. Your content is charming.
What an amazing space you've created! I'm in Scott City, KS, Zone 5, and love hearing your story and seeing your creativity! Following....absolutely! Thank you! 🌿🌳🌿
Well Brenda I am HAPPY to have you!!! My family and I spent countless hours, days and night's at Scott Lake!! I just love that little lake!!! Thank you!!!
First of all I’d like to say that your garden and all of your hard is incredibly impressive! Everything is so stunning and perfectly arranged. I’d also like to gently mention that veterinarians are doctors. We are doctors of veterinary medicine treating all species except one. I’m deeply sorry about Moxie. You have honored her memory in the most beautiful way ❤
I looked back on your IG account and found those photos from when you moved in. Nothing there but a tree. Hard to believe it's even the same home and property. Impressive and love your gardening passion! Heard about you from Janette @the enthusiastic gardener. You said "this is going to be a short video, the rains are coming in"...52 mins later...LOL
I absolutely love all yr stories...i told my husband that i discovered another wonderful gardener besides p allen..linda vater..n garden answer..good karma is soo true..thank you for sharing..you n the family did an excellent job...yr garden brings peace to my ❤...
I love your story about your dog! We had a little dachshund named Moxie! She was small but she was mighty. She lived to be 12 years old which is good for a dachshund. So sorry you lost your pup but nice that you commemorated her with your garden.
Love this long rambling tour. I watched it over the course of doing my chores, my reward time! I love your style. I’ve been gardening a long time, but your creative design and artistic flair is filling my heart. I can’t wait to start incorporating some of your concepts. Thanks for sharing with us, you are going to be so successful on YT!
Again what a fantastic garden! I once created something like that but ended up moving. I now live in Florida almost two years and been starting over oh well I’ll get it looking good in time. Enjoy all that you’ve created because you’ve done well❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful gardens, you have created a serene sanctuary for your family! Thank you for sharing, first thing in the morning, l will get my hose and start laying out an idea you gave me!😊💕
Not to take away from your amazing garden and the stories behind it, but I nearly flipped when you said you were originally from Elkhart, IN...my dad lives there & I'm in Plymouth, IN. New subscriber now.
