Thank you so much for doing your videos watching other people budget has helped me stay on budget for the past 6 mo. I have built up my $1000 emergency fund and am now working on getting our debt paid off. I’m also a mother of 3 with 2 kids out on their own and 1 at home. My husband had a stroke a couple of years ago and we are still working on getting disability so for right now I’m the only income. Thanks to you and some of the other budgeters I am making it work. Just felt I had to say thank you today😊

Something that I do for my 0% cards is make the minimum payments and put all the snow ball amounts into a HYSA. I allow it to earn interest and plan to pull it to pay the full amount when the 0% term is through. It takes a bit of extra calculating but the extra income from the interest is well worth it to me!

Love this budgeting video❤ I know how you feel with fraud. Scammers took $40,000 from our HELOC account. They are getting smarter … it makes me so 😡.

Your reason for not wanting to cancel the xbox membership really touched me. Love from California and have a great Saturday! 🥰💙

I am still learning that I save to spend, and if I want something I can buy it, because I actually did earn it. Lol seeing the money disappear after saving though, just feels odd. You are working and saving. Enjoy it.

You explain things so clearly! You’re so right that we are all different. For me, June is a no extra spend month. You kinda did that in Jan. June is really a month to rest and spend time doing fun things and taking a break from the school year!

First time watching and I simply enjoyed watching how you budget. You don't have to explain how you do anything about your why and how you budget. I am a new subscriber and I like the budget sheets breakdown. Simple and direct.❤

A little off topic, but... I was suffering from terrible acid reflux for about a year. I finally gave up most dairy and gluten, and the difference it made was phenomenal. I can have some of both, but I avoid it most of the time as well as fried foods. It may not be those triggers for you, but it is likely dietary. Thanks for sharing your budgeting journey!

Our cable bill is way more than your subscriptions so I think you are doing great! And your father in law enjoys Tv so makes sense.

Hi Mrs P! I love you’re Videos so much.🧡 I have a question, which I don’t mean it in any bad way, I’m just generally curious: you mentioned you have always budgeted, which is something I have heard from others on here before. So I’m wondering … for many years you have spent more than the income was (going into debt) so expenses wouldn’t fit in the budget. Is that something you were aware of? Or did putting it on a credit card not „count“ to the budget? How was the mindset back then? I hope it’s not rude or something, I’m from a country out of the US where credit cards and debt isn’t so common and thought of differently I guess. If you don’t want to answer the question it’s fine as well.😊 Thank you for sharing your journey with us.😊

That is a good point. I'm a lifelong budgeter but put 'unexpected' things on a credit card before I started doing envelopes and sinking funds. I learned to expect the unexpected and budget for that too! 😅

Hey Mrs P. I love doing a monthly overview and really like your weekly highlighting method. I just struggle with my bills coming out on different days every month. Nothing seems to be fixed. How do you around that?

Spotify does offer a discount for students. I think if you're daughter don't want to give up her account, maybe you can look into lower the bill at least. 😊

Would you ever think about cutting blow money down quite a bit to put toward debt? $430 a month would be a good chunk and make a lot of progress over the course of a year. You could cut it down by $300/month and have $3600 more per year to the snowball.
@DaltonsFriendswood
@DaltonsFriendswood Месяц назад
I cat remember now, but as you’ve paid off things, did you roll those things minimum payments onto your minimum for your next focus debt? Then have the snowball on top of that? Or did you let those paid off minimum payments just fall into your budget and get absorbed by other things?

Get some Omeprazole you should be able to get it over the counter or you can get it prescribed. I have it bad. That’s the best I’ve ever used.

You mentioned that you're still paying for that wonderful cruise. I can't help but wonder whether you are still glad you spent most of your bingo winnings on cruise extras rather than reducing that (or any other) debt? Just wondering. I know your goal is to enjoy life while paying down debt.

Where I struggle is should I do sinking funds for expenses I know are coming when we are in debt?!
@BudgetWithMrsP
@BudgetWithMrsP Месяц назад
I think you should, especially for things that you have to pay for regardless. My hubby and I decided a long time ago that we will do the debt free journey but still try to enjoy life. It is so short and as long as we are making progress in a positive direction, it's ok to splurge on some things.
