This is a great channel for people wanting to know about typical, family owned, dairy farming in the USA. It’s wholesome, very interesting and informative and Eric does a fantastic job showing and explaining the everyday, wide variety of events/jobs that are needed to maintain and improve a successful family dairy business. One of the best things I have seen over the few years of being subscribed to his channel is that Eric appears to put all the revenue from his videos back into improvements and advancements to his family’s farm, which ultimately benefits all USA citizens who use dairy products! Many Kudos Eric! Keep it going so everyone knows how their dairy products are produced and the massive effort it takes to produce a gallon of milk that cost only 3 or 4 dollars a gallon to us at the store. The farmers receive far, far less than that to produce it!
To help your issue with the planter going in the ground, you need to add weight to each row unit. Adding weight to the main frame won't help nearly as much. Lots of parts interchange between a john deere 7000 or 7100 planter and your kinze. That may help in searching for a down force kit. I would use air bags because they are much simpler of a system.
Yea those hard black pipes our not cheap , know that for sure. Cleaning up the storage shed cool. Got to have plenty of room for your silo components . We our finally getting a storm coming t through for two and a half days of rain need it bad. Praying you guys don’t get down with the flu virus that is going around it’s no picnic that’s for sure.
Good video , shows all the different jobs on a farm . Never can have enough tools , spare parts and time . Then on the other hand : A day has 24 hours and if that’s not enough we have to use the hours of the night !😊
As a Cannabis grower, the variance in different genetics will never stop fascinating me either. The differences in smell and taste are really mindblowing.
Nothing like having to go through stuff you’ve been saving for years for those “ just in case” needs. Then you wind up with stash of 200 five gallon buckets or a bunch of tires that dry rotted. Well there’s always FB market place.
Hi from New Zealand. Just found your channel and have been binge watching all the episodes. Great content. It blows me away the amount of infrastructure and machinery etc you guys invest in to run a dairy. Is it actually profitable?
Welcome! Yeah it all fits within the business. We sell over 6 million pounds of milk a year plus beef so there is enough revenue there to justify some investments in buildings and equipment.
That corrugated drain pipe likes to “float “ in muddy soil. Maybe drill holes in the outer layer 180 degrees apart. Guess you gave up on the cordless grease gun ? Back up diesel generator?
Im interested in the results from no till planting. I believe the type of soil matter a lot and you have clay similiar to our area in Canada. Cheers 🇨🇦
There’s one thing that im curious about and that is how much does the RU-vid channel help in terms of revenue does it help that much because it feels like you guys are improving your operation more in these past two years
Speaking of getting rid of things you really don't need anymore...I'm from NY and looking for tire sidewalls for a small drive over silage pile...what are your plans with all of your bunk tires pm me if you would sell some thanks p.s. my favorite you channel... excellent/relevant content!!
hi, I wonder, would a two hose per row liquid dribbler be useful to fert the corn at a foot tall, a dry year it would work famously and free fert, woohoo
You may have said it and I didn’t hear it, but are you using Organic pesticides and fertilizers for the best health and digest ability of the cow’s, and the soil, and water in your farming environment?
