Congratulations on growing your channel! we love that for you! you do this book tube thing effortlessly and it shows. It sounds like you had a good reading month. 10 books are quiet the achievement! I love the water dancer. The author, I believe wrote the script for Black panther for Disney. I have followed some of his interviews and his social commentaries are deep. 📖 I had an intro into fantasy this month reading, "A Phoenix First Must Burn", and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It was 16 short stories in one book and I just wish they were longer!! I might be on a hunt for a fantasy book soon...

I have wanted to read something by Jesmyn Ward but a lot of people say her books will make you cry 😅 How did you like Lone Woman? Victor Lavelle has a very interesting writing style. I find people either really vibe with his weirdness or they don’t 🤭

@@KaylasBookishVibes Yes, you have heard correctly about Jesmyn's books. Let Us Descend broke my heart many times. It is historical fiction and I enjoy that genre the most. Additionally, I felt like I was right there as I read the book. I love feeling like I'm fully immersed in a story. I enjoyed Lone Women, it was different and I appreciate when I read something I can't really predict, especially after all the books I have read in my lifetime. 😆

My June was underwhelming 😞I think I tried to read too many books at one time; so I only ended up finishing two. But of the two, Leather and Lark by Brynne Weaver was the best. It is the sequel to Butcher and Blackbird 📖
