I do monthly base swaps and literally tried all the bases on the East Coast. Right now I'm back to DTW and its officially love it here schedule-wise anyway. I deal with the commute in strides but my schedule is lovely. I tried NYC in February and loved my schedule but hated the commute literally everyone and their momma lives in Atlanta and commutes to NYC. DTW for me is the perfect medium for the schedule, no adays, weekends off, and the commute and hotels are cheap because I'm not doing crash pads. Do monthly base swaps to see how you like a base.
Im in MSP now been off A days since last year weekends off. I was in ATL a year then MCO now im in MSP and love it. Heading to DTW next. MSP handles the winter well.
@blaqinthecity I commuted from atlanta for 6 months now live in msp butI would only commute to a base with No A days. You can always drop pick up out of base in ATL. I love having more control over my schedule. I would commute to have a better schedule for sure . I would never commute to a base if I had to do A days Try a monthly msp or dtw first. I would take winter over ATL anyday. I just was not. A happy person in ATL. I avoid ATL in summer if I can too with all the storms. It's just a headache
