My husband sat down to watch this performance with me. He's like "yeah, MJ would be proud but he's adding his own spice to it. That's a performer!"✨️ The level of pride that I have for Jungkook is through the roof💜 I'm 100% sure that the members are extremely proud of our Golden Maknae 🙌

I'm 65 and this is THE BEST performance for this BEST song ever in the 50+ years I've been in music. MJ is so proud. The base is esquisite. Who is playing that anyway? THe dancers are breathtaking and I have no words for JK at any time in that song. His voice, his moves, his intelligence in leading the group, his ability to breathtake the crowd. Unbelievable.!

No one does it like him. NO ONE can sing live that perfectly, even better than the recording, while dancing to one of the most intense choreo for a solo stage. And mind you this song is hard! The pitch is high and requires constant switching between head and chest voice, yet he pulls it off so seamlessly that we can't even tell. Damn, he is truly gifted with the most enviable vocal agility ever!

Hello, my name is Amy, and I am a JKJacksonaholic. This is my first meeting and I confess I have watched this Tonight Show performance at least 30 times in the last 24 hours (that’s not including the 30 times I watched the choreo version of the MV). I am literally melting from his awesomeness. 🫠😭💀💜 I haven’t been this excited since I was 12 years old and saw MJ’s performance on the Motown special where the world saw him do the moonwalk for the first time. I feel like JKs whole life has led to this moment. When his mother had a “golden” dream when she was pregnant with him, it was this place on his timeline. He’s worked incredibly hard for this! But I think this is just the beginning!

11:30 YES!!! I get how exhilarating it is to watch this performance! JK took it to a whole other level of precision with that highly creative choreo paying tribute to Michael Jackson! Doesn't remind you of how exciting MJ's Rock With You is? That sparkly sequined jacket and background lighting effects? got goosebumps and was riveted to my tv!! I lost my mind waiting after JK's interview segment, the second guests interview, and the commericals to watch this performance! It was nothing less than fabulous!

When I first saw this performance, I couldn't wait to see y'all reaction. All I could do was watch both of you during this whole video because I knew your souls would be snatched. It's like he gets better and more confident with each live performance. All I can think about is how Son Sungdeuk and BigHit sent JK to the US when he was a trainee so he could work on his dance and stage performaning. They knew he had the talent, but they poured that little bit extra into him to complete the package. 10+ years later, this man is giving us some of the best ever in stage performing. JK has become the standard, and this performance is the master class.

I watched this with my mom, about to be 79. She's seen the greats live - MJ, Tina - and her reaction was as fun to watch as yours. She agrees, how can you not like this song?? His performance is so next level. Impressive doesn't even cover it. I felt a bit like the moment (now I'm telling my own age) where we saw MJ do the moonwalk on Motown 25. Fireworks.

I am so loving what Jungkook is doing, he is the Master at surprise with his MJ antics! To be so excited once again, not knowing what is coming next. Love, love, lovin it. Bring on all those moves JungKook!

With the solo projects the supremacy of BTS just can't be questioned. We've had talent like this in the US but currently I just can't name anyone with this depth and breadth of talent, especially for live performance which is where the cream rises to the top.

Just to say, notice how the choreo has been adapted to the size of the stage, and it's incredible! Has lost none of it's impact but just added to it. Really amazing dancing from both JK and the dancers. I always notice how small the stages are in the US, so used to the ginormous ones in SK where they travel from one end to another. Really, there's no stopping JK now! 🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺

The homage and respect to MJ, but also to show off his own skill and craft, just makes this song and choreography iconic. It should be considered for Grammy nomination if not this year than next. Love the reference to Off the Wall with the outfit. Love this song more and more every time I hear it.

I was blown backwards by this performance! It's incredible how he can top himself every time we get to see a new performance of SNTY...the glittery outfit, the actions with the microphone stand, the singing while dancing that crazy awesome choreo. I feel these guys...I am also stopping all the time to fall out of my chair...I just can't believe it...Almost wrecked my car on the way to work when i heard "Seven" on the radio in Tennessee this summer, this has seized my heart completely. I have not heard something like this in the US in over a decade. I am in my 30s did NOT know Jung Kook even existed till this year. Is he popular in Korea, since he is from there?

The Choreo matches and enhances the song and JK's abilities beautifully. A work of art from the amazing Keone Madrid and the dancers (whom are choreographers too) are all top notch Brian, Puspos, Ian Eastwood, Vinh Nguyen, Nick Joseph, Jake kodish... All Beasts!

Hard to find the words to say the emotions this brings up, so exciting to watch this and know he is at the start of a huge solo career. My reaction was pretty similar to yours - I was basically speechless, except for unintelligible noises that came out of my lips 😮😂 The song is perfect (one of my favorites, I have to say), the choreo is fire, and JK executes everything TO PERFECTION. I'm so proud of him and I hope this song gets the recognition it deserves! 🎉 On a different note, I dance as a hobby, and it's my newfound dream to try to pick up some arm parts from this choreo (I see you, Blaze 😅). My dance teacher is always telling us that one of the hardest things to do is to change intentions within the same song (like when you dance really fast and strong, and then suddenly you have to slow down and dance more smoothly); and I really struggle with that in class, cuz it is quite challenging! That being said, I thought it was cool that you pointed out in your video how impressive it is that JK (and his amazing dancers) could "switch" so well from a fast spin to a slow body wave. It's the kind of thing that I definitely took for granted before I started dancing, because it's much harder to do than it looks. Love you all so much, thanks for the video!
