In this video, we want to show you a quick tour of a OCEANVIEW Junior Suite at the RIU Palace Peninsula. We really enjoyed this room - especially the view!! It was very clean, spacious, and we didn't have any problems with it. We loved the in-room liquor dispenser, we could enjoy a cocktail while we got ready for the night-time festivities!

Hey Diego, we’re happy you found the video!! The beach was spectacular !!! When we were there in late October, the water was crystal clear. I think there was one piece of seaweed that I saw floating on the water. If you look on a map, the resort is tucked away in a little cove, which limits the flow of algae towards it. It doesn’t get nearly as much as the east coast Mayan Riviera When are you going ??

Which Riu Resort did you like best in Cancun? This one or the HOTEL RIU PALACE LAS AMERICAS ? We just came back from Sunscape Resort and Spa in Riviera Maya and we found it too small or poor food quality, plus kids everywhere. Next trip will be Cancun and back to the RIU Resort chain. Thank you.

Aw sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your last trip. In my opinion, I prefer the peninsula. It’s big, but not to big. Adults only, food is top notch. Las Americas is very nice too, but a bit smaller. I’d only recommend las Americas over peninsula if being close to the downtown nightlife is a high priority for you. Let us know if you book !!! ☺️

You betcha. We usually give the delivery person a small tip. They appreciate that. Completely up to you though.

Generally the suites have a ocean view vs garden view. But double check when booking !

Hi I will be traveling for my first time ever outside the country & I’m going to Mexico ! Is las America’s still by the water ? I want to have nice access to the water to swim. I also want to snorkel, scuba, swim with dolphins, atv, jet ski, etc ! Be here the end of April! Thank you

Hi! Yes, Las Americas is on the water in downtown Cancun. They will have excursions to purchase where u can snorkel, swim with dolphins, etc. have fun!

We can’t say 100% because we we didn’t stay at Las Americas, we just visited for the day. What we noticed was that the Las Americas was a bit smaller, but it was adults- only and is right in downtown Cancun. Peninsula is a larger resort, but is a bit out of downtown. Both are great 👍🏻

Hello. Love watching your videos. I have a quick question. Do all rooms have an ocean view? Or just the higher category? You mentioned in the video that you stayed in the jr suite with ocean view, but is it worth it? In our case it will cost 125$ more for the trip.

All rooms face the ocean, but the lower levels might now have that great of a view. 🤷🏼‍♀️ but yes, they are all ocean view.

Thank you Elisha. There are English channels, quite a few actually. We didn’t spend too much time watching, but put on a movie or sitcom while getting ready in the evening. ☺️

Olga Tsybulskaya hmm great question. There aren’t any offered in the room. You MIGHT find them in the hotel shop, but I didn’t see anything while I was there. Wasn’t directly looking though. Sorry.

This is a family resort. Though, they don’t have a lot for kids to do, so we didn’t see many families. Typically families go to the RIU Caribe next door, because there’s a lots of kids activities and splash pools.

Although the Peninsula is nicer, maybe consider the RIU Caribe next door which is more geared towards families.

Did you have to pay more for this room? Or is this their standard room?

This room is the second tier upgrade. There’s still a superior suite with a larger balcony and jacuzzi, and the adults only section (also with balcony jacuzzi). Unfortunately, I don’t think the upgrade was worth it. The room was on the lowest floor of the upgraded section (6th) and didn’t give us any better view than we already had. If you’re lucky enough to get one of the highest floors, you’ll end up with a really nice view. All rooms at Peninsula are ocean view and look out to the Atlantic Ocean.

Ryan Reibsome aww congratulations! You guys will love it at RIU. The service is incredible. If you haven’t already, watch our resort tour too. Saturday night there is an amazing beach party I’d recommend going to. It was so much fun dancing in the sand! If you love to party, try coco bongo. It’s an unreal experience. Email or call the resort beforehand and let them know it’s your honeymoon. They may make your stay a bit more special! If you want to get to the downtown area for shopping or clubs, take the city bus for $1 per person. It’s super quick and safe. Enjoy your honeymoon ! ❤️🥰

@@monanolen4066 Hiii! Awesome!! You’ll love peninsula! No we didn’t stay in the adults section. In my opinion, the towers give you a much better view, especially floors that are higher up!! Let us know if you have any other questions!
