Doing #junkjournaljuly is really stretching my brain! Even the easier prompts, like Packaging, can be difficult when there are oodles of options - should I use the backings from stamps or stickers, boxes from the kitchen, old envelope mailers or... so many possibilities. In the end I went for good old cardboard figuring that everybody has some of that to hand. And then added another idea using some vintage glassine sleeves that were used to hold negative strips.
What to do for Light was trickier but my first reaction was 'light as a feather' and I remembered a video I'd seen ages ago from @NinaRibenaMixedMedia using watered down pva and the white layer from a napkin to sandwich a feather onto a piece of fabric. I love how this challenge makes me actually DO something instead of just thinking about it or taking a note (which I then never look at, or can't find...).
The feathers worked really well and I also had a go at stamping on acetate scraps using archival ink to make little light dangles to attach to the page.
