Your videos have totally inspired me to make journals. At 73 I have a few skills now with lace making, punch needle, kumihimo braiding, quilting, sashiko sewing, crochet … But never, ever would I consider working with paper! scrapbooking - oh no, I can do better than that! What a craft snob I was. Look at all the fun and creativity I’ve missed. So, I purchased your book and spent this past weekend reading it. Then it’s - Oh, oh, can I really do this? Natasha is so good - where do I start? Then Monday comes along bringing this wonderful video. You even know when we are struggling and post the right video! Thank you for all your sharing of your talent. Now, I am normally getting ready to retire with a book about now (give me a break people, I’m old and cold in Australia) but I have to go through my 12” X 12” stock papers to pick starters for tomorrow’s first session. Happy Journaling All.

💕Natasa I can't tell you how MUCH I appreciate your videos! Not only do you create amazing paper crafts, you really take the time to teach us HOW to make them too! And your videos are so well shot, great lighting, no silly intros or useless background music--just straight to class--as it should be! I have never walked into an actual classroom and had a teacher turn on background music while they teach--it is so distracting! THANK YOU SO MUCH for putting so much time and energy into your crafting and your videos!🤗I never regret the time I spend here!🤗I purchased your book on Amazon too. I love these!! I've only met 1 person that knows what a junk journal is. After 4yrs my girlfriend told me she read an article, junk journals were mentioned... She didn't know they were that main stream. 🤣😂 These will be great intro to journals!!

Natasa- I personally liked the GOLD pen & velcro option because I like to keep a pad of paper/booklet in my truck at hand for when I'm running errands. I find I'm constantly needing to write reminders/food items/pet stuff/thoughts/ miscellaneous things down and I'm also FOREVER digging in my purse or console looking for a pen!!! I surely would keep a journal pad like this in my vehicle. 😊 👏📒🖋📃✏📙 Great idea.

I love how you are so transparent about your life and what inspired you to make journals among many other things. You inspired me to buy a sewing machine, a cheap one to start. I was sitting on the sofa watching, then I decided to get up and make a cover. I really like the way it turned out. I like the cover with the two envelopes. It's different, and I think that is what drew my eyes to it. I'll make the signature later in the morning. It's about 2 am here and I don't want to be playing with anything Sharpe at this time of the morning. 😮

Beautiful! I love them all, but you asked for our favourites. My first choice is the red one, love the little door on the front. Second choice is the one with the pen as I like the idea of having a pen at the ready. Third choice is the one with the little notebook in the pocket. With all that being said, they are all gorgeous and I would be thrilled to receive any one of them. Thank you for the awesome inspiration, I really enjoyed this video!

Your video is timed perfectly! I had very few 12x12s in my stash; fortunately I found a 12x12 scrapbook paper Kit at a nearby thrift store just a few days ago. It includes all kinds of ephemera such as small & big letters & numbers, envelopes, tags, labels (all of which just require being pushed out of the page, not cut out... what is that called 🤔?) It also has thin paper, & cardstock paper. It's called Great Outdoors. I paid $5.00 Canadian. Instead of making one huge journal with all of these treasures, I'll make several smaller ones! It doesn't seem so overwhelming now... thank you, Natasa! 😘

I’ve always wished each of my journals had a pen attached. I never found a DIY solution I was happy 100% with. I am not giving up, though, will keep inventing, but if you’d share your aha-moments, that would be wonderful. To accommodate not flat pens perhaps we can fabricate some clever grooves/niches for the pens to nest in… The idea about fast covers (reinforced with the following: folded edges, contents of pockets, eyelets, and almost the same size as the cover signatures) is awesome. This very well could be my next lovely obsession. 😊. Instead of purchased 12x12s I’ll use my franken papers (the ones I built with my painted papers) -- too many of them and I love them more than anything purchased.

I thought the pen looked great and loved how you used the Velcro to keep it on the journal. I watched this video this morning and as I use a fountain pen, I attached a leather pen pouch I made using coloured split pins and a couple of stitches to fasten it to the front cover before putting it all together. Thank you for your inspiring video!

Just want to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your fabulous book. ❤ I have been watching your vlogs for years but the last year I have not been inspired to craft after my Dad passed away last June. But something was missing from my life and I needed to get it back! It was my junk journaling and drawing. When I started looking through your vlogs and saw you had written a book, that was it! Your instructions are precise and perfectly explained. The little details matter. Typically, when I try an art project i find on RU-vid, i make a lot of adjustments as i go along. With yours, all i have to do is follow the steps and without any stress, voila!, it's done! Thank you! It becomes easier to loosen up and be creative with the second try.

I love these beautiful journals. I can see customizing them for the crafters in my life. I fell in love with journal making during Covid. I've made a few simple ones with my grandsons so they could write their own plays and books. They love having a special journal for their art and thoughts. I enjoyed watching you create the journal. It seems easy to make. I like them all but my favorite one is the red one. Thanks for sharing and inspiration.

Absolutely love this idea I'm going to work on some today. Great idea using the tiny eyelets, now I just have to remember where I put them and probably the eyelet setter you used, yep have that too just don't use it often. Very easy tutorial to follow, thanks a bunch, Patti

I absolutely love this! My first one..I messed up on the eyelets so I covered the spine with a strip of decorative paper and kept going! That also helped with reinforcing the spine and added a little flare! I jumped into this project and my creativity is just flowing…I can’t wait to make heaps of these and give them as gifts! Thank you as always for your creativity and sharing with us!

I don’t know how you come up with all the things you do. You are the most creative person I’ve ever followed on any platform. Thank you so much for doing this one! It’s exactly what I needed. I set a goal at the beginning of the year to make journals to give to random ladies at our church. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis pretty bad so it takes me forever to make a full sized stuffed with all the things junk journal so I have only competed one and given it away and half the year is gone already. I am working on a second junk journal now and am almost done. Once I’ve given that one way I’ll be making these to gift! These look so easy that I may be able to make and give one away every Sunday for the rest of the year! Goodness I truly cannot thank you enough!!

I have watched for a long time but don't usually comment because I'm almost always watching on my TV and can't comment there! But I DO SO MUCH love your videos, your soothing voice and your wonderful ideas! This journal I can see would be very fun and addictive. I have trouble with putting signatures in and trimming off the right edge, as I can never get it straight! I'm not good with a craft knife.... but will keep practicing! Love your variety of covers too! Thank you so much for sharing your talent!
