Hi Toni. Such a great video. You always do the best stuff. With the old stamps that are sticky could you just keep them on the acetate that they came on and cut it apart so they are sort of firm and you wouldn’t have to take them on or off to prevent them from tearing? Or find some thicker acetate to give them more firmness?😊
Loved the treasures being discovered in the storage from years ago! Some of the stamp sets look familiar! I used to work at a rubber stamp/art supply shop here in the states until 2009. The layered textures and colors are amazing!
Hi Toni🤗 How fun to find a basket of goodies and those vintage stamps are amazing. Love your pretty makes and such a fun process, thanks for sharing. 💕
I have trouble with that “splodging” distress inks method. Maybe it’s the surface I’m using…my craft mat? You sound like your on a hard very flat surface. Maybe a piece of glass? Thanks for all your videos - love watching you.
Hey sweetie, yes yes I watched the building I think you moved in in January- June - January and though brrrrr 😂by the way it’s Cheryl Tallafuss as I’ve changed the name of my channel in case I forgot to tell you !! Hugs
Yay / so happy it worked ! Hint - get a large pump bottle of hand sanitizer for your craft room and a few hand towels / takes off glue ink paint you name it !!!! No waste / I keep paper towel in container w hand sanitizer for small projects - eBay is best !! I got most of what you have shown I’ve wanted here in states on eBay Toni!! Fab video your the BEST !!
t 11;45 for the old stamps... just leave them on that stiff plastic, cut them out... each individually, and just use them like that, with the heavy plastic as a way to sturdy them... i would make as many copies of them as possible, and definitely scan those, they are stunnin!! ok, time to finish the show. heheheh, loving it. btw.
So fun watching you play Toni. I use my backgrounds that are perhaps not something I would use and I die cut from them, even if I they are ugly a small piece doesn’t show all that it just shows the layers and texture of the patterns or colors even if you just cut a out reinforcements they turn into something super interesting! I got sidetracked with die cutting this morning, I can’t wait to get to mixing things up! I love how these are going! I can’t wait to see what you come up with in the embellishing! TFS
Oooh - more junk baskets! I love seeing what others have been squirreling away. 😁 Those old stamps are well known for getting weird - I have had luck with alcohol and goo gone to get the sticky off of them - then rub in some glycerin to bring them back. They may not be perfect - but they are lovely for the mixed media look. I had several Basic Grey stamps that did that. The sunshine also helps to recure the old photopolymer stamps sometimes if that is the problem. Can’t wait for part 2!
Aww thanks so much I'll do that if I can save them I'd rather do it I don't think it's the sun with these ones I think it's just there age there 20+ years old ☺️
I absolutely love love love the alchemy in the way those colours all come together.. it fascinates me that the ink gets so dark when you dap the card in it .. Love all of these so much cannot wait for part 2 xxx
This is so much fun! I just want y get stuff out and play, but sadly I really don’t have a space to craft that I don’t have to clean up for life. Working on that😊 with your stamps you’re worried about ripping, you could either leave them on the clear sheet the came on and cut that out, or if you have some of the mount yourself foam you could mount them on that for support. At least that’s what I would try. These bits are just so beautiful. Love your videos. TFS.
I have been stamping for years as well. A friend asked for a card to give at a wedding. I had a stamp in mind but it is home. Those old stamps just need a backing. 😓
I had stamps that got extremely gummy and tear like yours did. The ones that remain on the acetate, I'd just keep them on there and maybe adhere something like a thick piece of chipboard to the acetate so you don't have to peel the stamps off, which could tear them, and stamp like that instead of using a block.
You made me laugh out loud when you found your small mat. Those yellowed advert stamps of the ladies are gorgeous. Even if you can't keep them, maybe do a 1 time craft with the printed acetate they came on. Then you'll still remember them. 🤷🏻♀️ They would make gorgeous Lil pictures for your wall. 😊
You wouldn't believe how long I'd been looking for it 🤦🏻♀️😂 and that's such a good idea because they really are gorgeous stamps thank you so much sweetheart 🥰
If I recall, you've been looking for that mat since before the resin spill? 🫣😱 I know you've got the new and improved one, but I'm sure it will come in handy.
@@SaltLifeGypsy68 oh my your right I have 🤦🏻♀️🤣🤣 it will definitely come in handy I like to use it when I take some crafty bits into the house to craft 🥰
Love all your makes. I’m starting this now before I go to work and will have a treat to look forward to when I get home. I had some stamps go gummy, but after all was said and done, I loved the effects. They became backgrounds and no one new any difference. Thanks for sharing.
