JUNKED! 1978 Toyota Hilux Dually Pickup - A Second Life As A Flatbed Lets It Haul Itself To The Yard 

Ah, the Toyota Hilux, the second generation version that pretty much got Toyota off and rolling towards the top of the import truck charts. This last year of this generation example was pretty much the strongest version available equipped with the legendary 20R 2.2 liter engine, 5-speed transmission (in '78!), dual rear wheel axle, and looks to have been made for the motor home market and then enjoyed (?) a second life as a flat bed hauling machine. This one was clearly well loved and today we take the opportunity to take a good look around, inside, under the hood, and poke around the chassis a bit.
