The lock switch is a negative trigger, momentary switch.. basically you need to run two wires all the way up to the front door to tag the lock and unlock trigger wires on the factory switch. The middle wire on the new switch just needs to be grounded. I installed a passenger door lock many years ago and had to pin the middle wire and ground it then just ran a speaker wire through the door grommet across to the driver side. For you the biggest pain will be running the wire but other than that, super easy.

i have the same push start set up. i disassembled the key cylinder so the steering Collum cover would stay in place and use the same hole for the start button.

Dana n herb two great channels. I went to the junk yard I had to acquire a fender and seen more to grab but the fender was needed and my friend needed a steered no wheel I’ll be back at the junk yard to do a better video. To show some cars to how it is.

The terminology for the ignition barrel bolts is sheer bolt as once they up to specified torque the nut sheer away from the bolts which was used as a anti theft type device most ignition locks use this method
