Immer wieder zieht es die ganze Familie auf die Willibaldsburg in Eichstätt: Hoch über der Stadt und der Altmühl, der steilen Hangkante des Jura gegenüber, hätte der Urvogel Archaeopteryx hier eine perfekte Start- und Landeplattform. Wie man sich das Leben der Dinosaurier und anderer Urzeittiere im damaligen Inselreich vorstellen kann, zeigt das JURA MUSEUM auf inspirierende Weise. Jede Menge Fossilien, lebensgroße Rekonstruktionen und bunte Aquarien sorgen dafür, auch beim dritten, vierten, ... usw. Besuch immer noch Neues zu entdecken.
Time and again, our whole family is drawn to "Willibaldsburg" Castle in Eichstätt: high above the town and the Altmühl river, facing the steep slope of the Jura highland, this would have been the perfect take-off and landing platform for Archaeopteryx. The JURA MUSEUM provides an inspiring insight into the life of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals in what was once a diverse archipelago. All kinds of fossils, life-size reconstructions and colourful aquariums ensure that even during the third, fourth, fifth visit, there is always something new to discover.
