I actually thought that was Hugh Grant. And started wondering how the hell had they made him look so young. Had they actually gotten the real tapes from 1992? After the 2nd guy (Alan Alda) I got the memo, they were doing impressions. But that Hugh Grant is so identical in appearance to the young Hugh Grant that it is very hard to distinguish them

He’s said on multiple occasions that he was basically given a 12-hour notice that he HAD to do an Alan Alda impersonation for a sketch they were doing on that week’s show and he had NOTHING. He said he went home and just worked on it all night and that later on at the first read through that he took a deep breath and it just came out as perfectly as it sounds now. When he told the writers and the other cast members about developing it in less than a night, they told him he was full of shit because nobody could nail a perfect impression that fast.

Caley Richardson because Whoopi is almost never funny anymore, but she absolutely nailed it. I think that they should have more “Whoopi” sketches now because of this, unless they’re afraid of Joy Behar calling them names on the following Monday’s “View”.

celeb impressions are the lowest common denominator of comedy, but i agree - i'd love it. Infact I can't believe there isn't a show that isn't just this for a half hour every single week. it's so easily watchable
