Jurassic Park, Chapter 30: The Main Road 

Micheal Crichton's Jurassic Park reminds me of another book that's overshadowed by its movie adaptation and that being Cressida Cowell's How to Train Your Dragon. this sequence with the Tyrannosaurus reminds me of the part in the book where Hiccup is face to face with the Green Death speaking to him in the tongue of the dragons and how the dragon tells him he is going to eat all the inhabitants of Berk while he has a bunch of sheep in his clawed hand which he eats like peanuts. he even calls Hiccup little supper alluding to the fact that he is also on the menu. just that tension of having a massive beast many time your own size staring you down while you know it planes to eat you is terrifying.

i hope you cover the part where timmy found a wild raptor running through the herbivore fields in broad daylight during their morning tour before this moment happened. that shit was foreboding like a harrowing calm before the storm moment, and it was at that moment i felt the most dread on the implications of wild dinos breeding around the park.

What if, instead of the tyrannosaur not attacking Grant, due to not seeing him move, the creature doesn't feel threatened or challenged. Maybe through his moment of shock, he realises that the lack of movement doesn't intimidate or startle the creature; lacking any reason for it to attack him. So Grant steadies himself in order to keep his body calm. Allowing him to survive the tyrannosaurus attack

I legit still have nightmares about that croc, and I only found that movie because it shared the same title as the Primeval tv show. Needless to say it left quite the impression on me as a small child.
