The funny thing is that Kong's species was hunted nearly to Extinction by the V-Rex, V-Rex was already king of Skull Island during and after the events of the 2005 King Kong movie. The territory where are the more experienced adult V-Rexes typically hang out, was pretty far from Kong's territory. In other words Kong was lucky he didn't end up fighting the some of the V-Rexes that killed his species.
As I recall they weren't that badly matched against the V Rexes as adults, but they bred slower and the children were the ones most vulnerable, the Kong lived in the highlands but as the island was sinking I think this is what forced them into more conflicts which spelled their doom as a species.
As far as I can remember, that infected sauropod in Primal was the ONLY enemy that the main characters did not actively engage. Spear and Fang were running away from that sauropod.
@Lawson Kennedy I'd say they're at least more frightening than raptors. Though dying by a raptor attack can be brutal, the thought of becoming a motionless yet sentient nest is very unnerving. Even if you manage to survive the initial strike, it's only a matter of time before you're doomed anyway. The sound of a nearby Troodon was enough to scare away a herd of Dilophosauruses (or dilophosauri, whichever). Even other carnivores are aware of how frightening Troodon can be. Nocturnal, swift, and venomous, the Troodon can likely defeat most of the other dinosaurs listed in this video, especially since they never hunt alone. It's almost like facing a herd of Night Feeders only without such a quick death. Also, after some research, I had to correct my spelling to "Troodon" instead of "Troudon".
I really wish we had more information on some of these creatures, like where did the giant t-rex come from? What was Rudy's life like? Etc. All of these creatures are very cool in their own right whatever they're accurate or not.
I hate that the velociraptors got watered down so much. Its probably a product of universal wanting to be able to make as much merchandise as possible, which you need a face character for ig. They really were horrifying in the original movies and it would’ve been awesome if they had added in utahraptor into the mix later on.
Sharp Tooth was probably my first real fear that I remember. My parents let me watch JP as soon as it was released on video when I was 1 or 2 years old. They said I screamed as soon as the raptor attack in the opening scene occurred 😂 so they shut it off. So even though I don’t remember it (or even remember the first time I really watched JP) I’d say the raptors were probably my first real dinosaur I saw in media.
Out of all these videos, we can agree the Zombie Argentinosaurus is the most scariest one It legit gave me nightmares and nausea the first time i watched it
True, plus the background score adds even more terror. Honestly, if i ever saw it in real life, even if it's hundreds of meters away, I'll still get a Heart Attack even if it's daytime.
Actually, if you look closer at Scopis Rex's Design it's not deformed. Though the reality might be even more horrifying, it had HUMAN DNA used in its make-up. Because there where two more versions of it, and both shared it's facial structure. It would also explain is psychotic nature in the cartoon.
yea but the reason for its head structure was due to the carno dna it had, and even tho it had heat seeking, its downfall was it was easily distracted by anything that posed a bigger heat signature then its prey.
It was a powerful beast that was only watered down for plot convince it could climb trees and when Darius pulled the quills out of that triceratops it went crazy and look like a zombie The scorpuios gave me nightmares and it’s ability to climb trees🫣 It was mentally unstable and enjoined the fear of the campers slowly stalking towards them feeding on thier fear
I love it when there are fictional species in media. My fantasy world project has a TON of fictional dinosaur species, including a race of dromaeosaurs! This channel has given me inspiration for my characters!
One of my most favorite series is Jurassic Park and I love The Land Before Time. Both instilled a love of the prehistoric. Last year I recently got into Camp Cretaceous, another series I feel in love with.
The Hypos from The Isle, and both the Trex and Giganotosaurus from Dino Crisis. I remember when I first seen Giga from DC2. The impression it left on me lasted forever.
Great list! My personal favourites are the Indoraptor, V Rex and Rudy, but the original JP raptors are definitely objectively the best movie villains. They’re absolutely terrifying. I greatly dislike how the raptors were whitewashed in the JW movies. They’re much more effective as villains.
@@TheDinoFax i know i'm a bit late but would you be interested in doing a short for ark's giga? I'll tell you information and some interesting theories i came up based on calculations
@@gergopiroska5749 true, also it's not the strongest or smartest that survives, it's the most adaptable Humans would easily invent a weapon that can blast dinosaur skulls lol
The plague of madness is in it self horrifying, but an infected argentinosaurus is the most horrifying thing I could imagine like there is also something similar to this in DC zombie scenario that the flash that became a zombie is killing everything and superman is the only one who can stops him so superman do so and got infected so I have a special fear of the strongest becoming a threat.
we talk about the most terrifying/dangerous dinosaurs in media in my mind immediately goes to the slashers in the tv show terra nova. i don’t remember much about them, but i do remember having nightmares about them after every watch through of the show • in case anyone is wondering, terra nova can be watched on prime video
I loved dinosaurs as a kid, and I love these videos! I subbed on the 2nd video I watched. Thank you for doing this. I also was a huge fan of Primal. I hated to see Spear die at the end, as I knew it was the end of that show.
I’ve been watching this guy for a bit and ngl off topic as an artist thank you so much for putting credits in the artwork you are showing like thank you so much fr fr
Simply my favorite from the list is the Sharptooth cause it was the first for me, easily second were the Carnotaurus Easily what make this video amazing is that thumbnail, and I wish yall have a good day
I'd love a video like this covering video game monstrous dinosaurs. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Ark's monsterous creatures along with the isle's other strains since I see you already covered the hypers.
Finally! Someone who talked about the Carnotaurs from Dinosaur, I had a toy of them, my fave 'villainous' dinosaur ever, I still think about when they both dragged that one dinosaur away and you can see one of them eating it in the background as the other chased the characters
I only heard of the ultimsaurs when the first JW movie was gonna be coming out? Was it talked about in the books? I know the hybrid Carnotaurs were in the book.
Nice! Hope you get to videogame dinos from say Dino Crisis, Ark Survive, and Monster Hunter. (Theres on in particular named Deviljho, "The Pickle", from Monster Hunter alone would make any dino from Jurassic Park media tremble...)
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the JP3 Spinosaurus, also the Dino Crisis Giganotosaurus, and the Hypo Dinosaurs from the Isle, Hypo T. Rex, Hypo Giga, Hypo Spino, and Hypo Carnotaurus. Other than that, this was an excellent video. 😊
The Sharptooth was my first bit of nightmare fuel. The chase scene in the thorn bush terrified four year old me. The Hell scene in All Dogs go to Heaven was the only cartoon scene to scare me more
I know why these weren't on the list, but the strains of genetic mutations from The Isle, the dino survival game, are terrifying as well! If you make a part 2, you should cover them! The ones we have in game so far are the hyperendocrin (hypo or type-h for short) strain, focused on brute strength, raw power, and thick armor, and the neurotenic (Neuro or type-n for short) strain, which are centered around scionic abilities, stealth, and speed, being able to create EMP blasts, go invisible, and echolocate (they have no eyes). There is a mysterious third strain that very little is known about, and I don't remember it's name
Little fun head-cannon for me, I like to think Jurassic world scientists used Carcharadontosaurus dna as part of the indorex and that’s what gave it its sleekness and spines
Scorpios/Indominus Rex, Indoraptor, The Night Feeder, The Plague of Madness, and the Alpha Tyrannosaurus are the most malevolent of all that are on this list.
I honestly always thought there might be some human DNA in the Indominus, and my main evidence is that it is smarter than most raptors, and it has a thumb, something none of the dinosaurs or creatures in its' genome possess
also I'm surprised the Spinosaurus from JP3 didn't even get a mention, since it went out of its' way to chase down a small group of humans for hitting it with a plane, and the thing actively hunted down Rexes, so the thing was malicious and absolutely petty
Some dinosaurs to cover in the future. Mama Scarface - Turok A female tyrannosaur estimated to be almost 100ft long, if not larger. She has an incredibly thick hide allowing her to brush off both bullets and rockets. she had a large scar on the right side of her face rendering her blind that came from an unknown creature. she holds a personal grudge against the main character for killing her young and hunts him for hundreds of miles just to kill him. One Eye - Dino Crisis 2 A tyrannosaur that lost its eye to a missile to its face and holds a grudge against the humans who shot him. this tyrannosaur can hunt for days without rest and is tough enough to withstand multiple tank blasts. it was as fast in water as it was on land, as shown by its ancestor. The Mutated Giga - Dino Crisis 2 A Giganatosaurus that made its home in an abandoned missile silo and was exposed to radiation that caused it to grow larger than normal. the roar was so loud that it could burst eardrums. it was also strong enough to pick up a fully grow tyrannosaur and throw it hundreds of feet. it survived a warhead's explosion and had to be killed by a powerful laser from a satellite's orbital strike. this creature had amazing senses as even when it was blinded by the warhead's explosion, it could still track the location of any prey no matter where it was. infact, one report from soldiers who encountered this Giga say that it's extremely rare to view it and live to tell the tale, as even when seeing it at a distance, it can sense you and immediately chases you down. even if you see it miles away, it still knows where you are, just like SCP-096, that can find anyone anywhere in the world if they see its face and immediately begins searching for that person. Biosaurs - Dino Crisis 3 Created by an AI named MOTHER to be living weapons for an invasion of Earth, these creatures are genetically engineered. DNA samples taken from dinosaurs and mutated to have superpowers, such as emitting powerful bolts of electricity and several other abilities. one has a hydra-like power to grow new heads next to the heads it already has. it was so powerful that the only way to defeat it, since it was strong enough to withstand lasers meant to destroy spaceships, was to send it hurling into the void of space, never to be seen again. Trinity - Dino Stalker (Dino Crisis 4) A raptor with telepathic abilities allowing it to control other raptors. this creature was genetically engineered. Black Pit - Dino Stalker (Dino Crisis 4) A massive pitch-black tyrannosaur. this animal was over 100ft long. it was so powerful that no other predator dared to challenge it and immediately fled if they sensed it nearby. however, this tyrannosaur could sprint at incredible speeds. its hide was so thick that it brushed off missiles meant to shoot down planes. your best chance of survival is to not be in the same area when it's hunting. King Red Eye - Starfox: Adventures Still the largest T-Rex in video games to date. estimated to be 200ft long, if not larger. this tyrannosaur was highly intelligent, to the point where he wore jewelry on his head to show his status as king and even gave orders to other tyrannosaurs. Sauron - Primal Rage A god tyrannosaur awokened by a meteor impact in modern times. he is immortal, but can only remain so by eating. so, he commands hundreds of humans to be sacrificed to him every day. Diablo - Primal Rage A demon tyrannosaur awokened the same way as Sauron. he is pure evil. he rewards the most evil of humans and tortures the weak.
Ultimasaurus would actually be quite unbalanced (literally, it would be pushed over easily) and medium-sized, and unable to use its weapons effectively. Source: Gojicenter, they did a whole analysis video on it
8:20 my best guess is that the night feeder is some kind of natural bred hybrid with and uncanny mix of maybe Baryonyx and therizinosaurus due to the extremely long claws
If Ingen had made that ultimasauras (assuming it ate meat), it would have been way too heavy to actively hunt. With all that armor, horns, spikes, and of course size it would have weighed 8 tons minimum, probably closer to 12 or 13, and a even higher max weight. Far too slow to run down prey substantial enough to feed itself. But it still is fun to wonder.
I remember visiting my grandparents house when I was like 7ish with all my cousins and there wasn’t much kid friendly stuff besides a DVD player and me and my cousins weren’t old enough to want to socialise so we just sat in front of the DVD player. We put ice age three on and I was terrified of Rudy because I’d seen it before and whenever he came on screen I would just leave the room to “go to the toilet”. I was terrified of him. Me and my girlfriend recently went to there’s on the way home from uni and my oldest cousin was there with his 5 year old, and he was doing the exact same thing.
There’s a difference between predators and monsters. Predators do what they must to survive, monsters are tyrants that destroy everything in their path. Almost all of the killers on this list are monsters
Fun fact, the reason why velociraptor was terrifying in the Jurassic park trilogy was because of the new discovery back In 1991. Two years before JP was released, there was raptor that stood out than the others, and that was the Utahraptor. They were around the size of a human being, more humongous than the regular Velociraptor. This beast was the biggest raptor when it was discovered. They hunted Iguanodons and Therizenosaurus. It doesn't get any worse, these dinosaurs were extremely intelligent. They would strategize when hunting their prey. so the Velociraptor you see in Jurassic Park is based on the Utahraptor, the real JP Velociraptor
I think the Sharp Tooth is horrifying because imagine being one of the most successful predators on Eartb and your the size of the same guys who are in the same family as Brachiosaurus Top that with cat like agility and durability that would make a military tank envious and you have a terrifying creature
I used to have a bunch of chaos effect toys as a kid. My favorite was the fire breathing carnivorous parasoralaphus with raptor claws. It was also bright yellow with black stripes and some orange. Anyone else get these toys?
The Ultimasaurus reminds me of the Hork-Bajir from Animorphs, an alien humanoid saurian covered in blades, used as mind-controlled slave warriors by the antagonists. Turns out they're peaceful herbivores with the mental capacity of a 5-year-old.
But if they were all put in a room together who would come out on top or would some of them be smart enough to work together, and which of these is your favorite.
I watched Disney's _Dinosaur_ when I was a kid but untill now I didn't realize the two carnotaurs were a couple and not just two predators that happened to be hunting together
Can you create separate videos for the history of spinosauridae and tyranosaurdiae and tell us who was the first tyranosaur and how they evolve and which dino from the family lived in which time period and their opponents at that time please love from pakistan ❤️🇵🇰
Carnos: definitely scared me. Ultima: crazy concept that I wish they flushed out more. A-rex : I honestly thought it was a ceratosaurus because of that horn. Sharptooth: Scared me as a kid like the carnos, just the eyes creeped me out. I-rex: Was interesting, not scary, but wish they flushed it out. V-rex is a cool way of doing some sorta spec evo. I-raptor: if done right it would’ve been terrifying (like how it was shown off in that one trailer during the Super Bowl. Plague of madness: literally gave me chills when the sauropod literally screamed as it turned to ash. V-raptors: scared me as a kid when I watched Jurassic park. Night feeder: another thing from primal that creeped me out.
