I loved this ride. The best part is that the first time I rode this, right when we were about to drop at that big t-rex at the end, a little girl shouted “pony!” at the perfect time. God, I love this ride.
Jesus Christ, I still have a physical reaction just to watching this video, because my body still remembers what it feels like being on the ride and going down that drop! I had SUCH a freaking blast on this ride!!!
I remember riding this when I went and I was 7, it scared the SHIT out of me when the T-rex came out, and the drop made you feel like you were going to fall out of your seat. I reccomend it for people who aren't fully terrified of roller coasters, but won't ride the big ones. The drop was indeed a stomach churner, but it ended in less than a second.
SAME EXACT SOTEY FOR ME LMAO. For the huge drop after the t rex i thought we were gonna go through its body or smthn. On the drop pic i looked at my face and i looked like i was having an aneurism lmAo
Me too! When before the drop I stared at the T-Rex I was like, ‘finally my favorite Dino!’ But then it all went to shit with the drop. YOU SHOULDVE MY FACE! 😂🤣 I did not ride the Toon one. That one looked too big for me. Still worth the ride though
Kind of sad that everyone seems super bored until the drop comes. It takes imagination to fully enjoy something like this, and the lack of such in today's world seems to take a toll on the fun factor of themed rides. You really have to be a kid at heart to truly enjoy the classic Universal rides. To me, the cheesy, imaginative rides like this, Jaws and The Mummy will always beat out the new "screen rides", no matter how better the technology may be. Take a step out of reality for a bit and that big animatronic T-rex becomes a real dinosaur bent on devouring you!
I love this ride so much! I live in Canada so almost every year my parents take me and my brother to Florida and most of the reason for spending all that money and traveling so far is for this ride XD
jono mano I'm not trying to scare you, it is a amazing and fun ride! But to answer your question yes it is very scary, but it is only scary as your dropping, and last year I counted how long it was before the drop was over and the drop is actually 2.5 seconds... Lol but when/if you get on the ride at the end when the T-Rex comes out of the wall your gonna feel like your gonna hit your head off of him even though he is like 20 feet away from you, it is a great ride! BTW the suspense is gonna kill you! I hope you have fun at universal!
I loved this ride when I rode it! I'm so glad I finally was able to find footage of it! My friend with me was so tall, when he rode it and the cage did that little drop before entering the building (4:10), he had to duck quickly because it almost klonked him in the head!
Dude I remember being in that ride but like the T-Rex jumped out so close it almost hit my head so when the picture was taken all you could’ve seen is a blurry photo of me moving my head.
I went on the and it was a blast! I definitely recommend it and I have a fear of heights but this ride was amazing! This is a must do at universal studios in Orlando!!!
went on this 2 months ago and wasn’t expecting that huge drop at the end. i was sitting next to a random lady and i completely threw myself on her chest and closed my eyes. i was so embarrassed. luckily the woman didn’t mind and just laughed it off
Something funny happened to me on this ride, so it was my first time going on it and I didn’t know where the drop was, so when the ride got to the part where the t-Rex appeared I thought the boat was going to make a left, but instead it was the drop and I wasn’t expecting it to be there and I screamed so hard when the boat was going down omg😅😂
I love this ride so much! Ive went on it twice, The first time i was scared but i was freaking happy! and i had my eyes open for the drop which didnt scare me somehow, Since im scared of drops XD, The second time it was raining which made the ride more real and beautiful.
Omg I loved this ride the T-Rex is actually scaryer than it looks. I put my hand up And touched the t-Rex, that's how Low he was to you when you go down 😂😂
so when i went on this the first time i was about 11 and my mom and cousin were with me and they promised they would get on but then they didn't want to get their hair wet, so i had to ride by myself next to a random lady who happened to be very "wide" but i did feel safe on the drop so thank you lady if you somehow see this
Javier Cruz same thing happened to my friends a few months ago, they went on this ride while I was in camp Jurassic at the time, and the guy sitting next to them was fat or something, so the lap bar was far from them, and they had to hold on tight, they said it wasn’t a big deal though.
I went on that ride when I was at Universal in Hollywood. I got to see the Hollywood sign for the first time!!! (I live in Canada) I may have went on the ride too many times. Worth the line wait!!
I went on this with my brother in July 2016, holy crap that drop was intense. My dad had to stay behind cause he hates drops, I was like "C'mon dad, it can't be THAT bad." ...Yyyeah he made a wise decision that day. Still feel bad he didn't get to see the T Rex, that friggin thing is worth any price. Even crippling fear :D
After a bunch of screen rides I got on with my grandma both thinking it was just a calm boat ride until we got to about 4:21, I was like oh boy this is gonna get good, amazing ride
We rode this rollercoaster yesterday. I loved it!!!! We were all in line for the Velocicoaster for 1 hour and 30 minutes then when we were 3/4 of the way through the line the ride closed because of incoming weather… River Adventure stayed open and there was no line so we went on that ride because why not lol. We were completely alone (just me, my brother, my mom, and my dad) in the raft and when we got to the T-Rex part we all thought that we were just going to be sprayed by the T-Rex and go backwards on the ride or something so I didn’t notice the huge drop in front of us. I did not expect it and it felt like I was in midair for the few seconds you drop. So fun!! I hope we can come again sometime.

Is that Jeff Goldblum who says "Evacuate! Please stop the boat, we have to get those people out of there!" or something like that when you first enter the raptor containment area? Because that's an awesome touch if that's true. :) For being a native Floridian, I've never been to Universal Studios and I so badly want to go.
Fun fact: that voice is coming from the radio of the boat that was crashed in raptor containment. Of course the operater of the boat is gone, so we get to hear the message and it adds the the fear of not being able to go back
I love that one thing this ride got right is that the freaking Trex is standing on something and slowly emerges, and not just randomly levitates and jumps at you at the last second
I was with my and we were 8 of us and all my friends were being retarded like moaning XD and saying "we need an extra long condom for that long neck thic dinosaur xD
@@NicoZay That sounds really fun and hiliarious for all the people around you - some with kids, some riding it for the first time - who had to listen to you and your shitty friends ruin the ride the whole time! Woohoo.

Really hope they don't update this like they did with the Hollywood version of the ride to be themed after Jurassic World. The "updates" to the Hollywood ride look absolutely terrible and tacky from the footage I've seen and ruins what was a fine ride to begin with. Let this one be the way it is. I can understand improving the animatronics but barring that, don't fix something that clearly isn't broken.
Actually I’ve rode both variants in Hollywood and Jurassic World was not tacky In fact I see it as an improvement First of all Jurassic Worlds turns are less jerky than Jurassic Park The animatronics are rebuilt and are more reliable And they kept most of the original stuff The only thing absent is the ultrasaur scene It was replaced with the mosasaurus scene which was honestly the most convincing screen I’ve seen in any ride You should ride something before you judge it
I remember when I was little I went on this and my mom and dad told me it was relaxing ride will not exactly but it wasn’t scary ride so I closedmy eyes on it and the part where you dropped I still closed my eyes and when it came I was so scared and I screamed hard not loud but hard and I was mad at my parents Moral of the story if your parents tell you we’re going on a ride that’s not scary don’t Believe them even if you think they’re telling the truth
I don't like how the t-rex comes out prematurely before the drop in Orlando. I get that's how they set it up and that's how it's supposed to be but,.... the element of surprise right as you're dropping to me was the better effect! But both are excellent rides experiences! Can't wait for Jurassic world to be finished in Hollywood!
Half of the dinosaur animatronics I’ve never seen on this ride. I rode it for the first time this year and this ride is definitely in need of some animatronic fixing. I don’t think they should get rid of the ride because it is a classic and so good but the animatronics do need refurbishing. i’ve never seen the ultrasaur until this video and there was always that green vine wall and the one that shot water out of its nose was just the hole where it was supposed to pop up and The one that supposedly knocks your boat of course was just stuck with his head poking out the water. Me and my brother would always say “HES DROWING SOMEONE DO SOMETHING”
its cuz all the investment is going into the new universal park, they have (or are about to) close this ride and overhaul it completely into a replica of the jurassic world ride in hollywood
My husband and I went to Universal for the first time in July. I got this ride confused with Popeye's Raging Rapids. (I hate the "log flume" type rides) Boy was I surprised! 😆 But I LOVED it. Our masks got soaked but totally worth it!
Ah yes, the ride that gave me submechanophobia and deinophobia, thank you Universal for putting this ride on ur commercial when I was a kid because it made me scared of freakin water for so long. Well not anymore, But it took a while to get over oml. I would probably ride this today though. Also JP is now my favorite movie, weird how this legit traumatized me as a kid, and now I can actually bear looking it without bursting into tears. But tbh it does look like a really fun ride, kind of wished I went on it now.
Funny story I went with my friend and my mom and I don’t do rides and we thought it was just a few turns and a water ride. I knew there was a drop but I thought it was smaller. We started going up and I regretted my decisions I was more worried about my mom getting sick then anything else. Then the drop came and I was shook, I was not expecting it but me and my mom were fine. It actually was pretty fun and after we got dried of in heaters. Edit: also when the box dropped I was the only one screaming 😂
Awww was I to late for this video? Welp I wanna go on this ride it’s really fun!! Not going to lie when I saw this video I felt like I was there but except my sister splash me with water 💦 it was cold xD 😆 Like if you like it love dinosaurs 🦖🦖🦕🦕
Pine Peak Entertainment it's not for kids the drop is much bigger than it looks. My cousin went on it when she was like 12 and cried I was 3 at the time and was confused.

I was here a couple years ago with a friend and his dad. We went on this ride and since they told me there wasn’t a drop I happily went on (I’m not good with heights) oh boy I was a fool lmao.
I went there I was really scared , not of the dinosaurs , I was scared of the fall , when there's a fall , I feel like I'm gonna go flying out of the seat I don't know why :v
Man I loved that ride the end got me good It was going down but I was going cuz it broke gravity man that drop wait wrong place I was in the Hollywood one XD
