Still my favorite score John Williams has done. Love his work on other films but to me something about the score for Jurassic Park was just so magical and really struck a chord with me.
Often requested and a personal favorite of mine, John Williams' orchestral giant: Jurassic Park. I think it is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the musical giant, John Williams himself, who had his 86th birthday yesterday! It took long to make this happen, as the score, as it is, appears to be a "monster". "Monster" (pretty fitting) in that way, that it is filled from almost its first to its last note with musical highlights, that you just dare to edit or split up! In addition to that, there are tracks like "Journey to the Island" that have a perfect flow, but last not less than 9 minutes! No easy task, you see. I hope you are somehow happy with the result. Enjoy!
Saw the movie, once. Thought the effects & story line were very good. This dinosaur movies are always entertaining in that "monster" will always make one...speechless and, "What the hell was that?!" come out of one's mouth. It would be fantastic IF such creatures were still around. The scores of maestro, John Williams are really great. He has given good thought to all the music notes, arrangements, and tempo to keep everyone playing so many of his scores over and over in their head. Good editing, Fred on this piece you say was a challenge. You've got an excellent feel for music timing.
Them people sure can make some wunderful music. Jurassic park movies are always interesting to watch. It kinda gives you a idea how the dinosaurs once act it.
Thank you for the request. Have it in my collection and would love to do it. Ironically another Shefter & Sawtell score is going to appear here during the next two weeks. I will add it to my list. Stay tuned! Fred
