I think that’s my favorite part of this whole ride. I’ve never seen anything like it in any other ride where an animatronic of the “villain” actually chases you
Universal really know how to do it. I'd say spiderman at Orlando blends screens and physical effects just as well maybe, but yknow I'm only going by videos
I think this looks like the greatest dark ride of all time. My favorite is currently the Spider-Man ride at Islands of Adventure, and this is a version with even better screens and practical effects. I think the Disney parks in China have nothing on this.
I’m hesitant to say it but this honestly looks better than the OG River ride. Like come on you actually get chased by a full size dinosaur. Hope they bring a ride similar to this to Epic Universe.
When I say Universal Creative has been killin it lately...yeah, it's no lie Hagrid's, Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash, Super Nintendo World, The tribute store transformations, Velocicoaster, and now THIS? That Indominus Rex is insane. Seriously, that chase scene is amazing. This blends the combo of screens and animatronics perfectly.
You liked Secret Life of Pets? That ride felt like a lazy excuse to reuse a space with a mediocre dark ride. The IP just doesn't hold up as good as Despicable Me, and so far has been the weakest of the newer rides open
Gotta commend them on that nice blend of screens and animatronics! This looks incredible and I am very much impressed! I’m jealous we don’t have this here in Hollywood
It's funny to say this but Universal is better at making new rides then Disney. Sure there's Rise of the Resistance and Flight of Passage, but I'd start asking questions if you'd say that Web Slingers is better than this.
I feel Disney really doesn't have to try nearly as hard as Universal does to see a return on their investment, which is probably why Web Slingers was quite the disappointment. Universal on the other hand has consistently been pumping out great new experiences because they have to in order to stay competitive with TWDC
@@obviouslyweb It's a shame that nobody bats an eye when Disney's been doing the same thing people have been screaming at Universal for years for. But yeah, Uni's been on a roll lately. If they keep this up, then I can't wait to see what they have in mind for Epic Universe.
Well the thing about Web Slingers is its not meant to be a a epic attraction its just a fun little side thing, but you know they opened with this so they can add Avengers later. I'm sure the Avengers ride is gonna be sick tho. Whatever the case may be this is good for us, they will keep trying to 1 up each other and we'll just get better and better rides.
My god what a ride. That chase sequence is so frickin insane and I wish we got more of it! It's such an oh shit moment, and aside from maybe the Indiana Jones boulder, I don't really think I've seen another ride do anything like this. The animatronics are all so, so good, and the blending of screens and physical sets are all so good. I think probably my favourite thing about it is that the screens are only used when they need to be. They aren't used with things that could be done with animatronics, they're used to top effect here. Another smash hit for universal, 10/10.
I think universal should do a Jurrassic World at Epic and put this attraction there. I wouldn't mine also if they implemented this ride to King Kong cuz that ride had so much potentially and they relied to heavily on the screens still.
Not to sound ungrateful. I know orlando got velocicoaster but river adventure is literally falling apart. I’m watching this, feeling annoyed tbh. Like velocicoaster doesn’t distract me from the reality that the other ride is in shambles. Same thing with how WDW thinks Tron is gonna distract us from the fact that space mountain is on its last leg. These american parks need serious help.
River Adventure was fking awesome when it was new, it was actually intense/scary. They gotta shut it down and do MAJOR repairs, make it as good as it was in opening day.
@@tricko8000 EXACTLY. I treated my friends to a trip there a few weeks ago and when we rode it, I had to apologize to them afterwards bc the condition of it was so bad.
@@hefoughtabear118 Yeah? That’s correct. Velocicoaster, Hollywood Universal’s version of the Jurassic River Adventure, this new Shanghai Jurassic World ride, Guardians Mission Breakout. So technically 4 right now until Guardians: Cosmic Rewind opens, in which I’m sure he’ll also be featured. THEN it’ll be 5.
This is probably the best dark ride I've ever seen. The sets and animatronics are fantastic and the screen sections are not over utilized, yet actually good supplementary material to tell the story. My only criticism is that the screen parts seem suuuuupper rushed...They go by very fast and it doesn't feel like its matching the pace of the show scenes. It's a minute nitpick though, I'm sure in person that doesn't matter at all. : ) Frankly in very jealous that This is overseas lol...the new river adventure feels like a cheap knockoff in comparison...
Man, this ride wasted no time in having the park go to shit and putting the riders in danger, lol. The animatronics are spectacular, especially the chase sequence. Not a fan of the screens or the score after the OG theme, but overall the ride looks fantastic! I do prefer the river ride for its pacing and balance between gentle giants and killer carnivores, but this one does look like fun!
Yea the animatronics looked awesome, hopefully this is a sign of things to come! I would actually have to ride this ride but I think the river ride is more fun as well, especially as you have the drop at the end!
Honest to god remove BOTH transformers AND the mummy and make the entire section a Jurassic world theme. the mummy can be a mini raptor coaster and the transformers definitely be this ride.
This is Universal's answer to Disney's Pirate of the Caribbean at Shanghai Disney. Both are really good . I cant wait to go China one day and try all these awesome rides.
I hope, because just looking at the concept art for Epic Universe it looks like there’s just going to be stores, restaurants, and even a hotel in the park and barely any rides
@@brianorozco1074 The point of that is that they expand on it further to keep the interest in the park high for a long time. If they opened with a ton of rides but no room to expand, those rides would get boring and unpopular long before their lifespan was over.
Not really. It's a bit cringe. Right off the bad it goes to action in the beginning after seeing the long neck, it felt rushed then you got Claire coming face to face with the I rex and the raptros all chilling around her. I like Hollywood's due to it taking its time to build up to the climax. Don't get me wrong though visually this looks badass especially the chase scene. But I'm happy with Hollywood's JW version. Maybe they can replace transformers with this one
Not Hollywood!both of them also I want this to happpen in 2022.because 2022 is the year that Jurassic world dominon will be realised.so if Jurassic park will be rethemed into Jurassic world in Orlando for the realise of dominon.that means the dark ride will be constructed after the jurassic park land is fully re themed.
I think this looks way better than the two Jurassic World rides in the US! The fact that the ride is in the dark adds to the terror and the Indominus Rex chase is incredible!
I would honestly be ok if this replaced the Kong ride currently there. I like the Kong ride well enough but if something has to go so this gem of a ride can be there instead, then Kong has my vote.
2022 here we go! im sure something jurassic world related will be announced in 2022 for the realsie of domion.maybe they can replace the kong ride with the new jurassic world ride from bejaing and the rest of the land will be rethemed to jurassic world for the realise of jurassic world domion.universal you better promote the new movie.
Where Disney caves to the whining parental complaints and neuters the thrill out of attractions, Universal says screw it. THIS is how you make a thrilling attraction. Everything the lame Dinosaur attraction at DAK wishes it could be.
Agreed Disney has been going down lately with the constant PC culture being implemented into the Park and Universal making more immersive rides. Team Universal
@@alemusaver Nah. This is what Disney's Dinosaur wishes it could be. Every one of these animatronics are far more realistic and thrilling than the tired old things at DAK. Universal is killing it lately. As long as they stay away from crap like Fast and Furious.
This is by far the best version of the Jurassic world ride the one in Hollywood please don’t take this as an insult is lazy the reuse the same animatronics that have been around since 1996 and only one screen if they were only going to use a single screen for the mosasaurus they should have kept The brachiosaurus and the pistacosaurus. Here this is how you combine cgi and animatronics in a ride!
Universal Studios Hollywood: Okay we just refurbished our Jurassic World ride people were complaining about. It looks a little better now. Universal Studios in Beijing: Okay Jurassic World Adventure is Now Open. Universal Studios Hollywood: Okay I think we need to tear it all down and start from scratch.
Wow! I hope they bring this to Universal Orlando!!!🤩🦖hands down the BEST ride based on the Jurassic franchise!!! This should replace Jurassic Park River Adventure at Islanda of Adventure
I'd love to see this with a better quality camera. 720P is well below what most phones do these day. 4K HDR would be great but 1080P with much better low light levels would make a WORLD of difference.
I thought Spider-Man and Indiana Jones were the peak of dark ride innovation, but this ride might just top both of them. It seamlessly combines screens with physical sets, practical effects, and impressive animatronics while keeping the screens to a minimum. And yes, this ride is much more innovative than Rise of the Resistance.
Give it 3 thumbs up for Beijing's Jurassic World Adventure Ride, along with the theme park attraction as well! Hope that they make it in Universal Studios Orlando for sure, since they already made the Jurassic World River Ride in Hollywood so far that I didn't go on, since I got my vengeance on those people wombat breaths/VIP skunk heads that rode on it so far back in 2019-2020 & this year; nonetheless I sent & command my 3 Komodo Dragons (Chaos, Mayhem, & Pwei) to hunt & prey on the blithering numbat buttholes to death as their Jurassic World Rider Victim buffet course!!😠😠😠🐉🐉🐉 Anyhow, if Orlando didn't, then why not renovate the Jurassic Park River Adventure Ride into a 2nd Jurassic World Ride to be honest! Burrowing Deinonychus!🦕🦕🦕🦕🦕🦖🦖🦖
Oh, my God. As if the velocicoaster and Jurassic Park River Adventure isn't enough, Universal Studios Orlando is gonna need this, this kickbutt dark ride.
Besides being confusing to follow-- how much of this is screens? Looks like a lot, and honestly, not the best work. I know you're not supposed to scrutinize this stuff, but... come on! Also: why does the video end before the ride does?
I went to universal studio Beijing yesterday and took this ride(Sept.16th). I had to say this is such an amazing dark ride! Although they didn't use that glass ball-like thing (It's called Gyrosphere I guess?) in the movie as their ride, the movements and sounds did the tricks. The most epic part definitely is the Indominus Rex chasing. It's way more close than what is shown in the video. People can really feel the sense of pressure and wild nature. If you had a chance, don't hesitate, just take this ride!
Yeah this is amazing and all but the same amount of effort couldn’t have been replicated in Hollywood? That’s why I don’t even like going there anymore
