I wonder if he likes Jurassic Park movies...

Jurassic Park was my version of Star Wars. Not that big of a fan of Star Wars, but was a huge fan of Jurassic Park!!

Main actress ran away from a T-Rex in high heels, that's my biggest peeve

Was I the only one who got really frustrated that the script literally forgot that even though the "evil" dinosaur was killed there was still a fucking T-Rex running around at the island?

The reason why I love this guy is that he shares us his feeling, his memories about movies. He makes me feel like he is talking to me as a friend. Thank you, Chris! Keep on doing the good job!

why did people hate the lost world? thats personally my fav one

You can tell that scenes were cut from this movie. Like the mom says that the older brother is mean, but you never really see that. And the whole thing after the water fall jump didn't seem that important but they act like it was. And when the older brother says "do you still have those matches?" But they were never introduced

I knew the two kids were going to be a downer. Still interested in seeing it for sure.

Side-Note: I like the intro music a lot better than what you had before.

The end battle was the best of the series

I'll still be seeing it because like you I really love the first two movies dearly. I'm not expecting Jurassic World to be a mind blowing experience but it does look like a good time and it sounds exactly like that with the way you described it. The biggest problem I had during the ads for this is "ok the humans create a giant killing man beast and yet they do not have a contingency plan in case it escapes"? Anyone who has seen this movie you don't tell me what it is. Just tell me they are not that stupid.

Everything you were saying about how excited you were when the Universal logo came on screen, was exactly the same as it was with me. Especially when the old themes began to play. Oh! I got goosebumps up the wazoo!!!

2015 is really starting to piss me off. It's been such a big let down (except mad max)

Just about the grade I was expecting. With so many commercials and the embargo being so close to the release date, I knew something was up. They went the super action route and got lazy with the story. Seems to be the Hollywood trend for action movies lately. Still going to go see it.

I thought this was a fun movie, but I which it had more stakes. The first film was fun because it had stakes. People died. There was real danger. There was no real danger in this film. It felt more like a typical action film, which is not a bad thing, but it hurt the film a bit. I kind of which they had killed the big brother. That would have added some emotional weight

Hey, I loved Jurassic World. It's the second best Jurassic Park movie behind the first Jurassic Park film.

I just saw it so I might need to take time for it to set in, but even with the movies flaws I thought it was fun as hell. Call me crazy, but I'd probably give it an A-

My brother and I LOVED the movie. For the longest time, me and my brother were a big fan of the first Jurassic Park movie. Mostly because we both love dinosaurs. And when we saw the trailer for Jurassic World, we got so pumped up to see it come out. And when I finally got to see it, I was blown away. I'm in love with it. :D

I remember seeing the original in the theater! Rode my bike there, had to sit against the wall,, place was PACKED... it's crazy to think movies back then would almost be a year before they got put on VHS and even longer for TV

In terms of engaging character moments, for me, it had to be the Apotosaur scene. That was a good, solid bit of emotion and growth for Bryce Dallas Howard’s character. I really liked that scene.

Another sequel that is good, just not as good as the original. This is a monster movie, not a dinosaur movie. Dinosaurs are animals, not monsters! This is all wrong.

Honestly I'm perfectly fine with the raptors being the 'best' or most emotionally connectable characters in the movie. Kind of a fun twist on things, if they looked at it more from the raptor perspective, simply because it's a different way of seeing the park. And yes, I love the dinos way too much.

I remember watching Jurassic Park and The Lost World all time when I was a young kid. Those two movies are my favorite movies of all time. I phantom menaced Jurassic Park 3 for awhile but now I don't like the movie at all. Jurassic World is finally the sequel to the Jurassic Park and The Lost World that I waited so long for. Now, I have my Jurassic Park trilogy with Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Jurassic World.

Jurassic Park- 10/10 Jusrassic Park: The Lost World - 6.5/10 Jurassic Park III - 3/10 Jurassic World - 8/10 JW had a ton of annoying sub-plots but had enough unique twists and turns. A very enjoyable film, my second favorite of all the JP films.

I can't bring myself to love Jurassic World, nostalgia for Jurassic Park be damned. The acting was too wooden, there were too many recycled Jurassic Park character tropes, and I felt like I was having part of the Lost World: Jurassic Park narrative re-packaged and shoved down my throat. There's also the 'Moses Figure' archetype that we see in so many other Hollywood movies being sprinkled in that just screamed 'generic'. I'd give this movie a 4.4 out of 10. For a movie that had a lot of money put into it, it fell far, far short of my expectations. My advice would be to just watch it on Netflicks. A trip to the theatre isn't worth it.

Pretty spot on review IMO. Strange how my favorite scene in Jurassic World was one where Dr.Wu is discussing the genetics with the Park owner...there's no dinosaurs in that scene. I guess it was nice just hearing intelligent dialogue like Ian Malcolm provided in JP. I'm glad you felt the same way about the CGI. I've gotten into many debates about this because I also feel that detail does not automatically = realism. I believe realism requires a more artistic eye than just adding more pixels or detail and I feel JP still did a better job with their CGI shots because they used shadows and wide shots and interactions with real set pieces and IMO the animation moved better (F.Y.I. I believe they managed to sneak in a stop animation shot in there). In Jurassic World the Animation felt like it was using too much motion blur at times and the creatures felt out of place in their environments to the point that I cringed a little. Otherwise I feel it is the best JP sequel yet.

This is the best, most honest JW review I've seen so far- I really loved this movie, even though some flaws exist it's still one of the best sequel/reboots I've seen in years (with the exception of Mad Max Fury Road) it's definitely been well thought out. The T-Rex/raptor vs I-Rex fight at the end was awesome!

Why is Chris being so apologetic? He reviews films, isn't it his job to be critical? If people are that touchy that he has to apologise for giving a film a negative review, that is the idiot viewers problem, Stuckmann shouldn't apologise? It is literally his job to have strong, defined opinions?

God, this film was pants. It should have been dark and then aimed maybe more adults. The kids were a massive bore and it would have been better as a more testosterone fuelled action/adventure film. Pace sucked and just enough scares. First hour needed to be cutdown. The lead geezer was a good hero.

I think what scares me is how much of a monster movie it seems to be. The first Jurassic Park was like Frankenstein for the modern era- god v. science, man v. nature. There were themes of how far man should play the evolutionary process and there were serious discussions about whether discovery and more knowledge is worth the danger an unnatural species brings. This movie looks like Godzilla but with a mega-dinosaur. The raptors, carnivores and intelligent killers, are like attack dogs instead and the characters look like action-thriller movie stars, not genuine well-rounded characters able of having deep and intelligent conversations. Jurassic Park posed questions of whether all the good was really worth the bad. This movie looks like "OHH BAD SCARY MONSTER" and then they all try to kill it, no moral questions considered.

Best movie of the year in my opinion. I thought it had awesome action, tense moments and a lot of heart and i'm glad that this movie is getting mostly positive feedback because it deserves it. I also didn't think the dialogue and plot was stupid , i actually thought it made a lot of sense. Some people can be fine with super hero's and aliens flying around blowing up cities and no civilians are getting hurt, yet can't get their head around training Raptors to work with people and that really confuses me. Like i said and many will probably agree, this is the best movie of the year so far and is definitely much more of a breath of fresh air than Age of Ultron. 9.5/10 for me! :)

Came back from seeing it today, really only worth seeing 1 time and then dumping it in the bin like food that gradually goes stale, the film was a complete mess and nothing comes together, its bad scripting, lame acting, homages to the past 3 films, lack of story, I give this 5/10 and wont get on DVD till it goes cheap, not worth anybodys money

I swear to god I will never forget the audiences reaction at the final battle and even in the theater I cried tears of joy, loved Jurassic world!

Just watched this again in 4K HDR and man is it a great transfer on a great movie. Not sure if you're into purchasing movies AGAIN in 4K but I'm sure you picked up the 25th Anniversary Collection of JP, so freaking worth it.

I don't think you sugarcoat your reviews, Chris. You just give out your honest opinions on something like everyone else. What gets me back to watching more of your reviews is the way present yourself. I love your positive attitude, I love your humor, and you go into great detail as to why you like or hate something. You give the right context of certain scenes and the story the film is trying to tell in general. And you don't bullshit anything, you tell us what you thought about it as you saw and paid attention to it. And I know you're just one man in Ohio who loves the media. I am a 21 year old man in Colorado who loves the media as well, but I am glad to be inspired by you and watching your videos has made me become a more positive person. Thank you very much, Chris! :D

I counted 32 scenes that were an exact recreation of Jurassic Park that was then commoditized and cheapened. First one: "badlands" close up of a dig.... turned close up of some kids in a fake dig.

Before I start this video, let me guess Chris grew up in the Jurassic world and his best pal was a dinosaur who loved the action sequences

my main thing that ruins it is how the animals just randomly attack anyone and anything they see animals would never do that and it took me right out of the movie

Totally agree Chris but i remember that in the first movie nothing happen too in the first 20 minutes of the movie, also there was sidestorys like the kids, i remeber the fat guy or other things.

I wish they'd shown more of the actual park, and we'd get a better idea of the layout. We got a brief glimpse of the hotel area when the kids open the hotel room balcony, and we see the parts of the man-made beach. But I would have liked to see more of the actual island and how it all connects.
