I think his drinking increased as a result of her abuse towards him, not the other way around. I also feel that gifting him the knife with that inscription was a thinly veiled threat. As a male survivor of a female Narcassist, my take is, the knife and subscription has a meaning only apparent to JD as the abused. That is, "I will see your demise". I think you're imprinting too much of your own experience onto this. I agree that the knife is good evidence that JD wasn't an abuser... but it seems infinitely more likely that AH just thought the knife was a cool present for an eccentric person like JD and the inscription was just meant to make her seem deep and poetic. Saying it is all part of a conspiracy of control and a veiled threat is giving her way too much credit in the brains department and also just seems outlandish.. You've watched too many movies I think.. You saying he would've died at her hands is almost as crazy and stupid and people saying she survived him. Get some perspective, neither of them are angels, if you watched the trials you'd know that.

In any normal circumstances anyone saying that could be suffering with trauma-bonding, but in their case it clearly wasn’t that. In their case she clearly couldn’t stand the thought that he might actually be gone for good and with her abandonment issues that would have been unbearable to her. That’s why on all the recordings, especially the one after the restraining order she’s still trying to manipulate him “I just wanted to be close to you, I just wanted a hug, I just wanted to touch you” etc as a way to try and reel him back in and then when it didn’t work and things didn’t go her way she’d snap and be all vicious and antagonist again when all he wanted was to find the easiest solution to it all, but that easiest solution didn’t suit her. It’s easy for an abuser to manipulate their victims into believing that they need their abuser, so when their abuser disappears on them they will beg them to come back until they cycle has repeated so many times they finally see through it all as Johnny eventually did with Ambers behaviour.
@johnwilliams8818

Her expression in the clip that showed the inscription was one of "Pride". She was proud of the gift that she gave to JD. She mistakenly believes that if she reads the "Scripts" of others' real-life stories, that she can Act the Victim convincingly. She fails and makes everyone who has been a victim sick with the disgust we feel toward her. If I had given such a gift to my abuser? He wouldn't have needed his own when he cut me with it. AH is an outright liar. It's too bad that we cannot simply "Shun" people like her in society. Instead of a scarlet letter perhaps a permanent wardrobe change. Okay, here's my theory, although the knife and its inscription are the only really solid pieces I can point to, along with, perhaps their obsession with Johnny's drug habit and Amber's apparent view of seeing things in terms of Hollywood stereotypes. The rest is just kind of a feeling built from the whole. I think she wanted him to kill himself. He's rich and famous with nasty addictive habits. He's also a bit odd. Who here wouldn't have believed a suicide story if it had happened while they were married? It fits in with plenty of other patterns. And it would have left her with all his money and his Hollywood contacts (in her mind) and the sympathy of the world as a surviving spouse. She just picked the wrong victim. Johnny had been abused previously, and had built up coping strategies when he was a child. And despite his oddities and additions, he has formed very strong bonds both to friends such as Isaac and Wynnona. , as well as having a strong sense of duty and attachment to his children. She tried to break those ties to people and failed. Amber thought she was clever. But she's not. And when she finally realized that the plan just wasn't working that's when she gave up and tried to get out with the divorce and the money. I mean, if she had given the money away, the theory wouldn't fly as well, but she didn't. And if she hadn't lied about the money while she was keeping it for herself, she'd seem slightly less of a gold digger but she did. I mean, it's really obvious at this point she wanted the money badly the whole time or there wouldn't have been the Children's Hospital/ACLU fiasco in the first place. A real victim who couldn't support herself would have walked off with the money to pay her therapy bills until the end of time.

There's just so much AH did that no real DV victim would've done beside gifting your alleged aggressor a large knife with the inscription "Until Death". For example she provoked and taunted him in several of the audio clips, maniacally laughing in in his face after insulting him on his appearance and career, calling him a "fucking baby" and to "grow the fuck up", taking and sending around pictures of him asleep to mock him instead of documenting any of her alleged injuries that supposedly occured before he fell asleep, staring JD down when he was on the stand during the trial, saying she had "no ill-will whatsoever toward JD" even after everything that had happened and who could forget taking a shit on your partner's side of the bed in a fit of revenge-rage, followed by trying to blame a human-sized dump on 4-pound-heavy dogs... The fact is, if you believe that AH was a victim of DV by JD, not a single thing she did during that relationship and after made any sense whatsoever. Even the most irrational, stockholm-syndrom suffering DV victim would've shown infinitely more signs of an actual victim than this manipulative, lying, narcissistic and gaslighting bed shitter...

I dealt with 5 years of abuse from my ex before I was able to get out, the amount of police that came by during those aggressive times always told me I deserved it and brought it on myself. 4 male cops showed up, called me a liar and that I brought it on myself. That was the best wake up call I could have ever asked for. No one believes me, even with the marks I had and the friends that saw me getting beat up. It would be a serious error on your part to give an aggressive person something that would potentially cause you harm later. I do believe after hearing Amber's reaction of not being in Johnny's will that the inscription had a sinister meaning. The whole story line reminds me of the movie Black Widow with Teresa Russel. She finds rich men and murder's them for their money. I believe in my opinion she had intended on setting him up by ambushing him at the penthouse with Rocky as a witness. Her plans were foiled because she didn't expect his body guards to be right outside the door fortunately. There is something not quite right with her behavior over a number of incidents. Dr Curry seems to have hit the nail on the head with her assessment for sure. Enjoying your perspective and legal expertise on this. Doesn't matter the country from which we come from when an injustice is done most the laws are quite clear. Defamation is wrong when evidence shows you are clearly lying.🤥

Because it would certainly account for all the early "evidence" collecting which tried to portray Johnny in a bad light. That was my theory, and as time has gone on, I'm sort of glad I'm not the only one that has those suspicions. The will and the separation certainly made a certain someone very bitter and vindictive. Watching Amber leaves me with an intense creepy déjà vu feeling, Like Amber, my Ex- oozed charm and charisma, and usually became the center of attention where ever she went. The parallels in the Johnny’s and my relationships is also spooky. My Ex- and I lived together for several years before getting married with some ups and downs. She had the same narcissistic, borderline and histrionic personality characteristic as Amber which she kept under control before marriage. If he was so aggressive before marriage, why did she agree to get married? I bet she was the one pushing and demanding to become married. My marriage essentially ceased within the first couple of months. Prior rules and agreements now meant nothing. The small lies and conflicts before marriage instantly became ten times bigger. My ex- still believes she is a super special person and normal rules and laws did not apply to her. Apparently, her internal feelings are so strong, they have to be right. At one point, Johnny apparently said something like: “I am trying to give you everything you want, why can’t you be happy?” My divorce lead instantly to outright unlimited vengeance. My Ex- immediately went on the warpath, and persuaded the court counselor and court appointed psychologist that I sexually molested our toddler daughter. She did not know when to stop and she eventually did herself in with her lies and manipulations. I ended up with total custody at a time when males essentially had no chance. She believes I only won because I somehow bribed & manipulated everybody. On significant difference, my Ex- was my size and weight. I was assaulted annually for a decade during her visitations, sometimes with weapons (pogo stick, baseball bat, military boots to the genitals). She never had to face any consequences for any of her behavior, despite all the police reports, etc. Now, going on decades, our daughter wants absolutely nothing to do with her mother, but get along fine with all the other maternal relatives (grandparents, aunts & uncles, cousins). My Ex- has recently (after several decades) told me that she loves me and has asked if I wanted to get married again. Three thousand miles away is not far enough for me. Johnny would apparently try to create physical time and space by retreating to bathrooms and bedrooms and other locations, and mental space with drugs and alcohol. This would enrage her even more, causing her to pound on doors and hit him directly, which would cause him to retreat even further away, exactly the opposite of what she really wanted. His alcohol use apparently went to zero after they separated.

I feel for you, i had a terrible time from professionals who in desperate trauma i had expected to help me and my wife who was suffering from psychosis and dementia- for 16 months of torture they chose to believe my wife's psychotic imaginings about me doing terrible things and that i had caused her trauma. I hope this Depp case makes more people recognise the mistreatment of male victims- Johnny was unusual in having top lawyers and TV cameras to save him. You did well to get custody and stay alive. No surprise that your wife's lies about you were believed for a while- many men are destroyed by society's response. Many people don't realise that women use weapons- male victims have been ridiculed despite many suffering serious physical as well as emotional harm. Shameful but quite typical that despite police reports your wife's violence went unpunished. High time Amber was arrested and imprisoned for perjury in Australia, UK and USA and also for assault. I don't watch TV now- so many lies, so much brainwashing in the "news", so much rubbish on the channels- but a while back i saw 2 programmes arguing that women should never be imprisoned- the programmes were not at all concerned about men being in prison.

Let's not pretend men believed women before, though. Like a majority of us have been raped at one point or another and our rapists are all mostly walking free while we've been made to feel ashamed for "letting it happen". DV has always been dangerous for women and is a leading killer of women. Parents send their daughters back to her abuser because they'd rather she stay married than bring dishonor on the family. Women have been alone in this and have always been alone in this. Same for children. Same for men. Abusers cut off their victims from any potential help.

@BreakingGaia Not at all, I was in a sexual harassment situation in school where even the female teachers wrote it off as "these things happen as you get older". The MeToo movement had essentially started the long and arduous process of getting women to a point where they are believed at the point of allegation, which was so important and I wish I had that when I was in school. The allegation should be enough to make sure a person is safe. Until Amber though, there was no public example (that I'm aware of) of someone abusing this movement for people to fall back on. I was beginning to feel confident that, were I ever abused, I could get the help I needed and people would believe me, because it's not unheard of that women die when they're not believed. My concern now is these people have Amber Heard to use as a backup argument.
@-yeme-
@-yeme- 2 года назад
I've heard something very similar said several times, but with one crucial difference. What I've heard is words to the effect of, "this is why we shouldn't believe ALL women," as a rebuttal of the idea propagated in recent years that there should be a presumption of the guilt of men accused of violence towards women, as opposed to more familiar concepts like "innocent until proven guilty". The widely-publicised catchphrase of that idea was literally, "Believe all women." Also, what do we mean by "believe"? If someone says they are being abused, they should absolutely get whatever support is needed to end that situation, to remove the potential for harm. But if there are to be punitive consequences for the person accused of abuse, then there must be some evidence beyond the accusation.
@BreakingGaia
@BreakingGaia 2 года назад
@@HeidiSholl Perhaps it depends. I grew up in a violent home, I was a battered child, my mother a battered wife. I've spent my adult years volunteering for orgs that help battered women and their children. Even after me too, it was still very difficult to get women out of their situations and even harder when they have children. I don't think me too helped low income families or women without resources as much as it helped those who might be easily believed, meaning women with resources.
@HeidiSholl
@HeidiSholl 2 года назад
@@BreakingGaia I see that, it always seems to be the case that people on low income or who are in poverty are the last to feel any benefit from these movements. My perspective when MeToo came about was, I was freshly at Uni doing a Film degree, and there was this immediatley noticable shift. This might have been because, doing a Film degree, you're on route to stepping right into that industry. Personally, I'm from a working class background, but a lot of people on my course were definitely more privelaged. I'm also lucky enough to live in the UK where, at the moment at least, I don't have to start paying back any loans until I'm earning over £21 thousand a year, (which is practically impossible on minimum wage, so I may never have to worry about it). So living in the UK on low income is probably already more of an advantage than people in the US on low income. At Uni at least, I felt safe knowing that I could get the help I needed if I ever needed it, and I knew people who did. It's a shame this wasn't the case everywhere. ru-vid.comgaming/emoji/7ff574f2/emoji_u1f602.png

There are so many, some would say “mountains”, of incidents like this. If any one of theses things happened alone, on its own merit, would be enough to show Amber is the abuser. The recordings, the bruises on Johnny, the unverifiable and altered photos of Amber, the actual photos of Amber without any injury after horrifying tales of abuse, the knife threat, Amber being surrounded by her friends and family while Johnny was the one being isolated, the proof Amber was stepping out all while trying to make Johnny look “jealous” because he knew, the gaslighting (not only of Johnny, but the whole world). And that’s merely what was allowed to be admitted into court. It seems insulting that Amber (and Dr Hughes) spin this tale like no one is intelligent enough to see. And she keeps going! I find it most compelling that the knife “threat” reads “Until death” and she still claims she will stand by her perjury, I mean testimony, until her “dying day”. Who’s the abuser Amber? I believe that she needs serious help. She’s obsessed. Allowing her to continue and the media/her “supporters” enabling, bolstering her claims, her makes her even more dangerous. Let’s talk about the cycle of violence. It’s most dangerous when you leave. I am so glad Johnny has loyal people around him to keep him safe. She’s like “sleeping with the enemy” on a global scale. Hide your bunnies!

It's obvious to me why she gave him the knife. We all know that regular weed smokers ( not all ) can have suicidal tendencies.. Now many moons ago I worked in the music business with someone just like AH. They do all sorts of crazy things move things hide things usually very important things. At one stage I actually thought I was going mad. She would make up stories all. the time, six months later that story might not exist to her and swear blind she never said it. it depends who she was targeting. SO THE KNIFE I believe she was hoping JD would drive it into his own chest or wrists to bleed out and kill himself., You play enough mind games ( send um crazy ) with someone whose a heavy weed smoker and one of two things will happen. Well clearly you don't buy your abuser a F........big Knife . but the abuser may well buy the victim one.

I didn't experienced a weapon gifted to me, but 2 different (male) narcisssists threatened me subtly like Amber did with the knife implications unto JD. One narc told me a story that suggested that I'm a pony, and he is my rider/master. Once me, the pony refused to let him ride me anymore, he would take out a rifle & shoot me to death. The other narc, he didn't say anything. But while planning to destroy my reputation in a martial arts club behind my back (I was a bronze medallist in a competition but that narc guy lost. I got good reputation from my humble but surprising medal score.), he gave me the most evil eyes I never thought anyone could mustered that time. Certain of Amber's killer stares at JD is EXACTLY the same stare this narc gave me. I knew his stare was his promise to see my life destroyed in terms of everyone turn against me, and personally pull the strings behind the scenes to make sure I was kicked out the club without any explanation. I found myself burdened with unfounded gaslighting-lies & crimes that I was certain I didn't do in the martial arts club (a.k.a. I was made the scapegoat by that narc). I still remember the hurt/betrayal/hopelessness when even 2 Senseis (martial arts masters/teachers) refused to even hear my side of the story because they fully believed my narc then. My friends in the club also ghosted me after that (a.k.a. they proved to me our friendship all this was fake/shallow, so that was another heartache). When the whole club/community is against you, you have no other choice but to leave them - it will be a pointless, uphill battle to win them back, to make them remember the friendship/good times we used to have before the narc came into the community. It was hard to be exiled unceremoniously & disgracefully that way...but at least, I know I can live without them now.

I subscribe to the theory that she wanted him dead. Not to kill him herself, but through overdose, self harm etc. She had been pushing him to include her in his will. They took on about 14 mil of liabilities. She pushed him to drink and messed with his attempts to get sober. She drove him up the wall, abused him and belittled him. Giving him a knife with "until death" was her way of saying "you can end this... that's your way out". Even when she's not on the will, she could have the estate pay for those 14 mil in assets. She'd be rich and famous, just being JD's widow. Book deals, documentaries, movies... she'd have it all. When JD told her it was over, she switched to the DV storyline quite haphazardly. That's why there's hardly any (faked) evidence. She had other intentions from the start.

How is a finger cut off by the intimate partner been taken seriously here???????????????????? Without him been famous, do you think any judicial system would have cleared the name of an average man???????????? Is this a joke???????? Do you "forget" the law when there is a woman commiting the crime???????????????????????????????????? Fucking insulting... If a man punched and cut off the finger of another man, a homicide would be probably unpunishable because of "unsurmountable fear" given the shock, "transitory alienation" given the pain of the shattered bone or "legitimate defense" given the use of a potentially deadly instrument. When you put a man in a position where killing another man would not be punishable, some men will defend themselves even if that means doing lifechanging damage to a woman or going to jail... The message sent is "if you are a woman you can punch and cut off your husband finger without any kind of criminal punishment and police will protect her from the husband retaliation (without telling her it is statistically impossible for the police to arrive consistently before the 20 seconds on average it takes a man to severely hurt a woman) "... You keep this bullshit you end up with lots of young women in obituaries and lots of men in jail without neccesity, just because she thought violence was free... You punish both genders the same for the same acts you solve the problem instantly...
