It makes sense if you've played Dark Souls because this is potentially the 2nd hydra you encounter thus far. So seeing a giant monster only to realize that you've seen most of its attacks before is a great relief.
I love that Temmie runs on “Lassie” logic, where the beef-jerky-zombies don’t say anything and only use simple gestures, but Temmie deduces full coherent sentences from them.

I beg to differ. The mere size comparison of just one of the Hydra’s heads and my player character DIRECTLY NEXT TO EACH OTHER is the most menacing shit I’ve ever experienced
@@TheKingmetroid The "corpses" that scream when you loot them are my favorite. This location is the best survival horror. But I still wore the ring for quiet steps, walked through stealth and came across every ambush
I have played so many Souls games that I know what it's like to accidentally enter a place with a boss, or a mini boss, and not being ready to fight against them.
The scariest thing is when you accidentally end up in the boss room after walking 10+ minutes from the last bonfire and missing the bonfire on your way to the boss.
Literally JUST had a moment like this in my DnD game a couple weeks ago. My character got these cool tattoos that let him jump far and was bragging to one of the npcs and she was like "hey, wanna REALLY test them out?" and took me to this dark crack in the ground. I thought cool whatever I have more than enough distance what can go wrong? I jump and half way across several hydra heads almost kill me! And I have not mentioned the situation to anyone and I refuse to confront it! Moral of the story is hydras are not worth it
"oh it's just the hydra" who says that? 😂 It's almost sounds as if she sees them on a daily basis like "I saw my neighbor's hydra today, they're getting chubby!"

idk why, but your calm demeanor after ascertaining the presence of the "Hydra" is right up there with Futurama's Philip J. Fry's reaction when he sees an alien flying saucer above him. like, "oh, it's just some flying saucer. I'M NOT INTERESTED IN ANYTHING YOU'RE SELLING TONIGHT!"
There's a lot of really cute, creative and interesting ideas here, like twitch chat being represented as a crew of oddly helpful passerby hollows and the hydras heads all looking at each other when wondering how to react when being blown off and the idea of the archives gramophone playing the ash lake theme off a vinyl
The first time i watched this i thought the Hydra was gonna do that thing where a group of animals/creature's multiple heads just suddenly start attacking eachother out of nowhere
You better be afraid of it when you realize that you sided with the vampire lady with a robot assistant instead of the goddess of water. Edit: My mine really just crosses the streams and says whatever it wants.
when i was young the concept of ash lake like gave me goosebumps. you're SO DEEP in the world and unless you have the lordvessel there's no way out except back up
I really liket this location. Both style-wise and gameplaywise. First the music. When its HUMONGOUS SHIT BIG place with nothing but a giant trees in the distance. Its great, its unimaginable and uncatchable. Its like another world of its own. And when you understand that there is nothing down here. Yeah, few mobs, Dragon who you can cut for a weapon, few Hydras, but... Its an empty and small location. And when you understand it and compare it to the collosal feeling it gives you for the first time - that sight and a music... It really crashes you, but in a good way. like... OUFFFFF
I have to admit this may be one of my favorite RU-vid animations in a while, (even if it is a year and a half old or so when I'm watching it) pretty fluid and very cute.
