He's been proven to have lied to parliament multiple times yet he feels no pressure to reign

for him to resign, would mean that a) he has to admit lying and b) he has the morals to do so. Johnson is a compulsive liar and has NO morals

Furthermore he is in a job where lying is meant to have consequences but is renowned as a serial liar. By your logic you would excuse all crimes that anyone else had previously committed because "what about them..."

I really wish we could! I agree . . . . many of the quoted staitstics in parliment are misleading or wrong I believe national crime rose by 14% . . . not fell as Boris quoted. The number of people in work did not increase . . . this ignores the impact on the self-employed as highlighted by UK Statistics Office If Boris quotes a number it should be instantly fact checked . . . building new hospitals . . . levelling up (budget tiny fraction of the equivalent German activity)

23 hours would certainly not be enough and remember during the 23 hours recording them, he'd be adding many more, so it will always remain an unfinished project.

By dumbing down educational attainment both in secondary and university educations we have a cohort of individuals who believe they’re critical thinkers by dent of reading and viewing the media to copycat their opinions as their own. Plagiarism is endemic in society as a debating tool. The media is there to entertain so reporting is jived up into some pantomime. Reasoning died as social fit to some populist hierarchy meant more than expressing one’s own thoughts. Social media has simply increased the individualism Thatcher stated as the aim of a free market society. When we read praise in social media we get a self affirming buzz. When we read dissent it’s often so rare it doesn’t matter. Maybe I’ve just identified why the lies make no impact. Johnson rolls out some populist positivity and instantly feels he’s the champion of truth as the media and voting polls endorse him. It beggars belief that in spite of the constant lies his public rating increases. I guess to err is human and he plays on that bumbling fool persona to dismiss any criticism.

You say"we" keep voting them in, not me, I have never voted in my life, because,no matter who you vote for, the government win! and they are all as dodgy as each other when in power, as my elderly father says "they all piss in the same pot"

@@HelenaMikas the Labour party is a whining incompetent, and the SNP are irrelevant, an endangered species. I am no fan of the conservative party, but at least it can be reformed. PR is not the answer to the UK political system, that would destabilise the system. You would quickly find throat PR would be hijacked by the far left, or far right. The UK political system needs reform, the anachronistic House of Lords should be disbanded, as it is a democratic embarrassment. The fact that it has survived through successive Labour governments, just shows that Labour in power is as bad as the conservatives, if not worse. The current Labour party are professional critics, with no original ideas of their own. A crude comparison is they are like a eunuch at an orgy, there are there every night, they see it done every night, but are completely incaperable of doing it themselves. The conservatives want the greater part of the UK cake to themselves, the Labour party wants it smaller, and cut into ever thinner slices, and the SNP want every one on a cake free diet. All three don't want to cook a bigger cake, they have forgotten how, they all what it brought in from a foreign patisserie, and paid for on credit.

They might accept that he's a bit of a fibber, but will still vote Tory next time.
