The increase in demand outstrips the supply of new housing. The only solution is for more people to live in every dwelling, which is achieved by increasing rents. More people must live in each dwelling in order to pay the rent. This is the consequence of the mass immigration inflicted on the country by successive governments and the Home Office. Is this what you wanted? Probably not, but it is what is relentlessly inflicted on renters.
