that homestead is so much work just wonderin why would you buy such a big house you should be enjoying retirement and travel. Are you going back to puerto rico it seems that homestead is taking alot of your free time and seems unfair to you.
Buying a homestead was very intentional. It's only six acres but I could probably handle a 100 acres. I am enjoying my retirement because this is how envisioned it, alone with the wife, a big house, and lots of land with some animals. Travel is OK, but I never really enjoyed the public places with throngs of people and noises associated with it. I contemplated moving to Alaska and never be seen again, but the wife would not have it. Remember many years ago I had a logo called "Becoming Jibarito"? A Jibarito is a farmer or homesteader that works the land and is never seen outside of it. I meant it, but no one caught it. Now I'm living it. Will I travel again? Probably not. This is how I want to spend my life and I really do enjoy how it's coming along. It's a wonderful life.
I’m with you on that Ovi! Tina and I go to Albany Latin Fest every year. That’s about it for me. It can’t be duplicated at home - great food, good music and beautiful women lol. Other than that I’m happy home when I’m not working for someone! The pandemic opened my eyes with a lot of people I always considered friends. When the doctors didn’t know how to treat it etc. and I was doing everything to protect my ill mother. “Friends” felt so inconvenienced to do the simplest things at my own home.
@@oviduranyou are so wrong about "El Jibarito" staying only on the farm, he does leave the place, how else does he sell his crops and there are also events. You just gave up on your "Homeland"! Shame on YOU!!! I guess you won't be traveling to Peru Either! I'm GLAD i unsubscribed, just put this video on because of the snow that i don't Miss Whatsoever!!! Go ahead die a slave to this place!! The people that sold it to you are enjoying their peace and traveling 😂.
You got a lot of snow. Everything looks beautiful painted white. It's nice to be surrounded by nature and all its beauty. Am glad you feel blessed and doing retirement your way.
You are getting spot on with your ax skills! Watching from sunny Corcega PR. Love the interaction with the chickens. Didn’t realize they were so curious.
@@carmen7961 yes, same here. Noticed the blue skies about three days ago for the first time in a very long while. I would never move to the crowded south, thinking about moving north again, to the Canadian border. LOL
Hi my name is Adrian Gonzalez Reyes and I'm from Ponce but lived almost all my life in Chicago and I've been following you at your homestead since you started your buying all of your toys by I mean you're snow blower and when you made the chicken coupe so I just wanted to say hi to you for the first time god bless you and your wife bye for now
Thanks for your support all this time Adrian. I am trying to live the life I learned from my grandparents in San Sebastian, the jibarito life. Albeit, it's not on the island but here in upstate NY.
It’s a little cold. But it is also a mild winter. Two years ago we had below zero temperatures at least twice a week. Not this year. It almost feels like Spring.
