We lost my dad two weeks ago. This year was the first Father's Day without him. Cherish your parents folks, time goes by too quickly...

I lost mine four years ago. I am okay but to be honest I feel like it is something you never truly get past. I am living my life happy but every once and while, sadness just creeps in. What I wouldn't give to have just more time with. This vlog is just a nice reminder of some good simple memories. Cherish every memory you had, I am sending nothing but good vibes your way friend.

I’m sorry for your loss. As someone who has lost both of my parents (my dad in 2000 and my mom in 2013) it does get easier over time. But be prepared that things won’t ever be quite the same again. That’s just a part of the process. Try to stay busy and give yourself time to grieve.

I teared up a little when I saw the photos at the end of the vlog. Super cute. I'm glad you have so many photos of you with your dad from when you were very young and during several points of your childhood. My dad and I have many things in common and one of those is that we both hate being in photos 😂So, sadly, there aren't too many photos of him and me together, but I do have a few that I treasure very much. On a related note: Father's Day doesn't occur until November here in Sweden, so we're still a ways off :P We always visit Dad's grave on Father's day and other holidays (last went this weekend after Midsummer celebrations) as well as his birthday, plant some flowers and just talk to him for a bit. It's nice, but obviously doesn't come close to when he was still alive. It's been almost six years and I still miss him a lot.

If I happen to wake up that early during the summer, I like to go out for a dawn walk for a couple of hours and then go back to bed.

I have a lot of good memories of me and my Dad growing up, one of them is when I got my first electric guitar for Christmas at the age of 13th and he taught me how to play. I also got into heavy metal because of him, and some of the old school games he used to play as a kid. I was also a lot closer to him than my mum, because unlike my Dad, my mum wasn't the most loving/supportive person when it came to me and my younger sibling. It didn't help that she was extremely narcissistic as well. Because of that my parents aren't together anymore and I am no longer in contact with her.

Here in Spain, Father's Day is on the 19th of March :v It's weird how certain international festivities like these are celebrated on completely different dates depending on the country.

I don't remember at all what I did this fathers' day, but I do remember enjoying whatever it is I did with my dad! Cherish family, folks, even if you don't remember details.

My cat wakes me up every 2-3 hours for food and often pets (very nocturnal creature; she sleeps most of the day). I've gotten very used to "Wake, feed, pet, back to sleep". Haven't slept through the night in over a year though. 😅

It's an odd thing to say, but I genuinely started crying at the end when looking at those photos, as it just made me think of my own family photos. I've become really soft in the past couple of years after losing two grandparents in rather quick succession (and one Grandpa that I was particularly close with), and really for the first time in my adult life, having to experience loss in that fashion. I'm only 24, but I'm at the point now where I just think about how I'm getting older and my parents getting older as well, and it hits me hard. Those are some lovely photos, genuinely, and I have some similar ones with my Dad from when I was little. It's not everyone, but it's important for those who care for their family, to really keep your family ties, and it's lovely to see how much you've kept up with your parents after leaving. I didn't have a point to this, really, but I figured I'd share it because I wasn't expecting to start crying midway through putting together an IKEA Bookshelf

My god, your dad in those pictures looks like a kid himself...I would have guessed 15 (though admittedly, i know I'm bad at telling ages and developmental stages) if he wasn't with you. I would have assumed he was your older brother or something if I didn't know otherwise.
