I love your videos and they save me a lot of time researching about. I went on a trip to Iceland last month and the rasam Powder was basically a life saver in the cold windy days. I could make a hearty warmy bowl of soup with just boiled water from Thermal geysers. PS: I switched tomatoes with tomato paste and the stuff lasted me a whole month basically.
@@hebbars.kitchen mam could u lemme know if we are travelling abroad for 6 months can we keep r store d mix for 6 months ??? R does it have time frame ??
@@divyapriyadarshiniit can last for 6 month but for that u will need to completely dehydrate everything. I mean the coriander leaves or ginger or garlic are absolutely not completely dehydrated so you either just add them later on while cooking or you can dehydrate them completely in small batches on gas or sundry them first so it will get easy to dehydrate (ppl in Western countries use dehydrater but I think that will be costly and doesn't have much use) . We dry cauliflower or fish for later use so we can do it for this too. Dry roasted daal is basically what you buy as sattu (only difference is sattu is usually made of black chana) and sattu lasts even longer than 6 months
There will definitely be a little moisture in ginger and garlic but since they add the roasted gram dal, it absorbs the excess moisture and the whole thing becomes a powder. Hope this helps... 😊
The green chutney does not last too long made this way. If you want it to last while travelling, you have to use dehydrated ginger, garlic, chiily, coriander, mint etc. Just measure out fresh ingredients as per your family’s taste, wash, dry and chop everything , dicing chilly ginger and garlic extra fine. Spread on a cloth and shade dry under fan if necessary till crisp. Then add the dry ingredients and make a powder.
Green chutney doesn't seem like it'll last for long without getting moled..better to air dry ingredients or use store bought dry ingredients for good shelflife .
Very nice way of making such instant receipe powders..Good Can you design to prepare such powders like Haleem/ Curry of meat /Karrhi Pakora mix for Muslims/Kheer n Chana daal Halwa. etc. Thanx🌈💗🏵🌈💗🏵🌈💗
I like your style of cooking... super easy and tasty too... I recently made chai masala and loved it cause its less acidic. Thanks for your hardwork. ❤
If I already have dehydrated garlic, tomato, curry leaves and coriander - at what step should i add them? and will it give the same texture and effect as using fresh instead of dehydrated ? P.S. i want to store the RASAM premix for as long as possible
Rasum has no tamarin? Tomato won't make the tartness required. Also if travelling abroad on long flights like 24 hours, will this last without refrigerator?
Just in time this video came across. We'll be traveling soon and our journey is 24 hours so i was looking for a green chutney recipe which won't go bad while traveling and here I have it. Going to make it soon hope it'll be tasty and good to use after 24 hours of making it.
Who bring food when travelling?? In Europe is forbidden you can go only to restaurant of ressort hotel where u staying not travelling with food 😮😮😮😮 only few snacks at airport or bus station bottle water. If you rented appartment you go shopping food to supermarket. It is strange. When we make camping we bring flask coffee/tea drink cans and tuppers with home made food.

This the best video ever for me.. This will reduce my time to cook what an idea 💡 excellent... I try 1st one of the instant idli dosa & halwa powder.. If its does work definitely i will come back..
This was a lovely video n yes instant as well other than idli everything has its benifits intact in case of idly we get the goodness only after fermenting the mixed ingredients ( which is usually done) but this method is gd for travelling so we can fill up our selves with the stuffs but the others r very apt
Helpful and time saving. I shall certainly prepare. One suggestion - please use bigger mixing bowls- as a lot of powder is spilt while sieving/mixing and the table looks messy.
Thanks for sharing beautiful time saving recipes they are amazing please share dokla and medu vada how to make the mixture and store it the same way you made these thanks

Omg. You have replied to almost most of the comments... That's amazing... Please reply me too... Can we add idli rawa instead of rice powder to idli mix ?
@@a1lifeofficial724 f you wish to prepare sooji or rava idli you may replace the rice flour with rava. Also, you may replace it with idli rava for a much easier option.
@@hebbars.kitchen .... So sweet of you for replying.... I have seen many influencers with less subscribers not at responding to their fans.. thank you for your assistance 🙏
