Hello friend and thank you for another gojira reaction!... Glad to hear the family situation is getting better and really hope it get's as good as it can be (some things are just beyond our reach... and this song talks about facing and accepting them... about letting go).. I've never been too active in the comments section so it's really great to get such a direct response from you and that my comments may have motivated you even just a bit to make another reaction of this awesome, bad ass and with a lot of espiritual/inner self message band. I don't know if you like to get into lyrics of the band... but this band always try to send a message in each of their songs (usually environmental/spiritual with a lot of inner reflection)...Keep doing live versions reactions.. gojira is a great band to watch live so keep it up! (maybe remembrance live as the next one?) I am a drummer myself, so i get how awesome is to watch and hear Mario. One of the best in the genre without doubt. He studied jazz for seven years if i am correct... and the way he thinks, plays and creates fillls it really shows... He and joe Duplantier (his brother and lead singer) used to be in a band called empalot... wich has a lot of heavy, experimental and jazz . They remind me a bit of early mr. bungle (have you check the "last" record of mr bungle? Lombardo on drums and Scott Ian on guitar... just mentioning it if that's your cup of tea... i'll check more of your content to get a better read on your musical tastes) About the activity on your channel, gojira fans are very active usually in media... so if you keep doing the videos.. they will eventually show up here and will stay.. either way i'll try to nudge some to this channel Once again i want to thank you for the reaction and apologize in advance for the writing.. i am rusty in english...best wishes from Chile

Hello again from New England...Just going thru ur Gojira vids...Mario Duplantier is so good he makes it look easy...The trick to figuring out what time sig he's in is listen to the cymbal work..a lot of his stuff is in 4/4 but its the subdivisions that really makes it sound off kilter...Im a drummer but this guy make me look like a beginner...I have managed to learn 4 Gojira songs over the yrs but I had to brush up on my reading and writing music skills in order to do so...Please keep going with them it's worth the effort.. I heard that he's playing 45 measures before he starts back from the beginning, that's insane !! Mario is great !!!

The easiest way to count the snare intro in this song is " 1 2 , 1 2 3 , 1 2 , 1 2 3" very odd time signature and it loops somewhere around the 40th measure with the kick pattern.

Great react as always Bobby, I saw in some comments about this show that the producer or something of the event asked them not to go hard because it wasn't a metal festival and it seems they didn't care hahaha, I saw some more songs from that event and it really looks like they lost a lot of people in the crowd because the setlist was so heavy, in this song Mario Duplantier really destroys, I would like to recommend you From the Sky (live bordeaux 2009) in this song Mario's footwork is insane too. I hope your family member recovers well and everything is resolved and about the amount of views I hope it doesn't put you off because I'm sure other people besides me love all your reactions. I think you may know this already but Mario Duplantier is one of the best drummers in the world. You can fact check this statement as or everyone on here can confirm. Nice reaction to a masterpiece. 🤘🏼🔥❤️💪🏽
