I don't even need a belt with my system. No backlash issue. Perfect R square every time.

I believe that as soon as it becomes available, I will switch from my Red Cat 51 second generation mainly because the advantage to use an electronic focuser directly. Thanks for the news.
Hi, High Point. I have been thinking of buying the Redcat for Christmas but, given the gen 3 with EAF compatibility, I am going to wait out for this one. Do you have any idea when these will ship, perhaps in time for Christmas?

I just got mine today. Looks great. However, i am unable to mount the EAF. The coarse focusser knob won't come off. I could not find any information online.
perfect news; i'm not in the market for a small refractor yet, but I was looking at the Redcats, specifically the 51, but that focusing ring was possibly an issue. Now that they've changed that on this model--it might just be at the top of my list.
