@@h0shii_kunyeah that’s what happened when I got to high school, unless you were it NJROTC, nobody gave a crap if you stood for the pledge or not. NJROTC just graded us on if we did or not and it’s so awkward to be one of the only two people standing in class while everyone else couldn’t care less 😂 (after I got out of NJROTC I just never stood because I didn’t see a point past that)
Where I live the only difference in between a Christian and government school is that u don't choose what religion u want to learn about and the funding, students are mostly the same

Yeah after graduation from high school I was like, ohhhh so there WERE gay kids in my classes (they just didn’t want to get horrifically bullied). Ain’t no way I’m sending my kid to any religious anything.
@@chancellorchandler My grade 8 English teacher, a “Christian brother,” had been moved by the church from an east coast catholic school to my all-boys catholic high school because he molested a number of students at the other school. I found out last year because there’s a class action lawsuit ongoing against the school because this guy and three other pedophiles were given jobs KNOWINGLY after they were moved from the other school across the country (and yes, molested a number of kids at my school school over a 20 year period). I used to get weekend detention from this guy all the time, just me and him alone a lot. He never tried anything on me but shit, that’s fun knowing I was regularly left alone at 13 with a known pedophile. Never felt so lucky to be ugly before.
I have no Idea how they are in the US but here in Austria they are pretty chill we have many school "festivals" and also have more free days off than other schools. My Friends which go to public schools always see people smoking/vaping in toilets, break and steal things etc... . Like bro that ain't normal. (They go in a school in Vienna) (I am a Student from a catholic Gymnasium school, also live in a Christian Family)
Omg this is exactly what this felt like for me when I switched as a teenager!😂 After the shock though, public school turned out to be a much better place for me.

omgosh yes. When I got my first job a few years ago it was *such* a culture shock. I didn't know what to say to literally anyone bc of how different it was. And it's not like I'm a socially awkward person or was never socialized, but I was just so sheltered from non-homeschoolers.
@kaylasrainbow, it will be a shock, but as long as you focus and work hard, you will be fine. And on top of that, depending on the state you are in and if you get your GED homeschooling is better then public school
I went to a catholic school lmao and yeah we would always pray during 4th period and at the beginning of every class aswell. We would go church for our awards and stuff and we would celebrate all catholic/christian holidays.
The line would just turn into "let's go secretly make out and later in life, when we go our separate ways, feel ashamed of ourselves for a long time for who we are and realise about ourselves much later after tons of mental tribulations with people who love us but don't approve of our choices which really aren't choices"
As someone who’s switched from Catholic to public schools, I can confirm that I preferred the Catholic schools. Public schools usually have less disciplined kids (yes there are those types of kids in Catholic schools, I’m just stating I’ve seen more in public schools) but hey, I still pray ever so often. ❤

As someone who has went to a Catholic school and then transferred to public school, this is honestly really true. Except that I was fully aware that public school didn't teach religion.
I don’t go to a catholic or Christian school, my school is multicultural, but every time that we sing the national anthem, right after that they make us do a universal prayer. And what’s even better is that they allow their Christian or catholic students to say ‘amen’ right after the prayer
As someone who just got to high school, they say if you wish then do the pledge if allegiance. But you could also just stay seated or stand and not do anything in elementary or middle
I felt the first part in my soul. I switched to public school in 4th grade, and I still instinctively started the sign of the cross at the start of the pledge of allegiance through high school. Until my high school stopped doing it.
It was incredibly accurate. There are these two underclassmen at my school who still wear masks every day, which I wouldn't really care about, except they will meet up in front of the library every day between classes and MAKE OUT WHILE STILL WEARING THEIR MASKS. I'm no expert on how different pathogens spread or bio-hazards, but I think it's safe to assume that licking and sucking on your lover’s mask and vice versa for a solid 5 minutes kinda takes away the protective qualities of masks.
As someone who transferred to a public school after going to catholic school for 10 years, I can confirm this is what it was like. The parts like "I'm tryna fuhh" were especially accurate
@@theone-only-1honestly we were kinda all pressured into it even in senior year (grade 12) no one would really say it out loud but we’d all stand and look at the flag while the person over the intercom recited the pledge

So some of us stopped standing and then it became most of us then it sorta wasn't a thing in sixth grade. I don't know what really killed the pledge, but I know we stopped participating.

My senior year we had a freshman transfer from the local church academy since it only went to 8th grade. On her first day she cried because it was such a culture shock.
