I've been seeing the 'destiny bad, go play another game' comment in more than a few places frequently, so I wanted to share what I thought about that sentiment.
There's nothing wrong with branching out and playing other things. Even still, people (myself included) love this game, and there's a reason we've been with it for so long.

I get it, but unfortunately the people who are being told to just play another game are the people who Do need to be told it. Because there relationship with the game is unhealthy. If a game not having a great dlc is affecting you that much that you feel the need to bitch to developers online, that’s what you need to be told. The one that gets me is people complaining that bungie ‘don’t listen’ or ‘aren’t communicating’. No duh, you loud minority of idiots drove them away. Anyway I tangented a bit there. You’re right, but there are people that do just need to play another game, for their sake.

nah there's nothing wrong with tangenting because i feel like on a lot of fronts you ARE totally right. the main reason why i made the video was because i kept seeing people say just play another game to people who weren't necessarily having an unhealthy relationship with the game, and rather just wanted to see something they care about doing better. however, there definitely isn't anything wrong with playing any other games (i totally have been myself) and some really DO need to play another game (or do things outside of gaming in general because their behaviour online is not respectable). i mostly wanted the video to express that myself and others still have a not unhealthy relationship and hope for the game and don't want to give up on it just yet. i appreciate you leaving your comment and thoughts :-)

I’ve literally grown up with this game.. I am now heading into university but I started playing this game at the very beginning when I was only 9 years old. Loved it ever since and experienced all of the ups and downs. Destiny will always be that game I love and I still voice concerns now about the game I agree with people when they complain about the state of the game because well we all want this game to be better. We want the best for the game we all fell in love with. I’m glad this video was on my recommended feed you did a great job with it!

Just got into destiny a couple weeks ago and it’s pulled me in like no other game has sense I was a kid. Just something special about the world and community. My only issue right now is that I wish I would’ve gotten into it sooner, feels like I’m late to the party and everyone’s exhausted while I’m full of wonder and all my friends dog me for getting into it 😭

"Only time will tell if that love is reciprocated." Unfortunately, Bungie has had 9 years (or 5 depending on how you wanna count it) to reciprocate that love. I feel like time has told us. And the answer was: It won't be reciprocated, no matter how much love we pour into Destiny and Bungie we can't make them love us back. After the latest State of the Game I couldn't go on ignoring it anymore. I'm done thinking about how the game could be better because I know it's pointless and Bungie doesn't want to hear it. I made some promises to Day 1 the reprised raid, but after that I'm uninstalling and not coming back.

the real issue with the anti-go play another game argument, is if the people that love d2 but hate where its at rn want change you *need* to stop playing, when the actual metrics and data shows players are dissatisfied *that* is when big changes occur, if everyone only wants to sit malding but contributes to all-time highs in metric then no changes will ever occur because the execs at the top will order "keep doing the same old, and cut costs too ;)"

Eldin Ring, God of War, Dead Space, Spider Man, Red Dead Redemption 2, Last of Us, Street Fighter 6, Ghost of Tsushima, Hogwartz, Apex, Warzone, Resident Evil 4 remake. Anytime you guys get sick of Destiny you should try these games. Idk….a few of these have won Game of the Year……. Just saying

There will likely never be another game that matches what Destiny offers. Unfortunately I think Destiny's time is coming to and end. Even if the Final Shape turns out the best content Bungie has ever produced it will still likely mark the end of the game for all practical purposes.

It should definitely end there. 10 years is good enough
