Despite how corny and cheesy the dialogue deliveries are, this is a very real depiction of what a number of women are like in the modern era. They settle down with the nice man who probably will make a bunch of money and able to provide a nice life for a family, and they still wish they had been able to marry the bad boy who would never settle down. They say it’s the last time they would cheat before the marriage, but they will always be unsatisfied because they married the nice guy who doesn’t turn them on or excite them, so they end up finding someone else on a girl’s night out and cheat, or they straight up go looking for someone. Then later on they decide to divorce the nice guy because they miss the excitement of being single and getting laid with the Chads and Tyrones, citing that the man they are with doesn't make them happy. And the guy is stuck with child support and/or alimony, while she claims to be strong and independent. I say he judged a huge bullet by not marrying her. Good effing riddance!
