Just found your channel and subscribed. Glad to see your channel is growing. It's hard out here so keep your head and spirits up. I had all for of my wisdom teeth taken out in 1982 in middle school. It was rough. Stay cool and keep the videos coming. ✌
Driver Leaders(managers) come with various degrees of success/skill. Your paychecks will definitely be effected be his/her skills. I tell new drivers this: If you are having questions about your paycheck consistently I recommend this. Find out who the manager of the driver leader is. Ask him for 10 mins.of his time. 1) ask him what the average drivers make per week at Swift 2) ask him what the average driver makes on your driver leaders fleet. 3) Now you can compare your performance to both the company as a whole & within your leaders fleet. 4) if you are below the average, first ask how you can improve. Remind him you want to be better than average. If your numbers don’t improve demand a new driver manager.
You’re so right about the Zonar navigation. I was going to a TA to weigh my load in Iowa, and it took me to a cornfield 🙄 I had to go ask the farmer how to get back to the highway, because it was too dark to get a sense of direction. That’s why I don’t mind paying for Trucker Path every month- it’s saved my a** quite a few times now!
@@dave-kp1vy Yes! However, in the predicament I was in that night, I needed a sense of direction. It was too dark & had no cell service- nothing. A compass wld’ve been helpful! But, the farmers got a kick out of my story & got me to the highway 🚜
I know we might be strangers to you but keep posting vids man, you really help alot of the unknown drivers and i find your videos great! Keep going motha trucka and be safe out there!🤙🏼
Once I get out of the marine corps in a few months, I’ll go get my cdl and gain experience and eventually be owner operator. Keep up the good work kababayan
Hey man maybe some rubber bands around the mirrors? And I really appreciate the videos because I am about to head off to swift and we are similar in age and I am nervous as shit not going to lie. You are very relatable and you make me feel like I can do it and upgrade my life. Much love man keep it up 😎
I heard about that program let see if it comes effective but then also heard that’s not after tax, so I’m guessing even if you will be taking home 700-800$ still AFTER tax.
Great job on the 1,000 subs. I'm going to check on the mirror issue for you, that doesn't make sense that we can't adjust them or tighten them. If you need anything let me know. I'm the Director of Shop Training.
@@chez8239 I work out of the Albuquerque shop, but I work anywhere. This week I’m driving down to the Lancaster terminal to work there for a week. I will give WV a call and check on the mirror.
@@chez8239 I just want to follow up on this topic, I was busy traveling and working at the Lancaster shop last week. Freightliner knows there was a problem with the replacement mirrors, they could be just as loose as the mirrors we were replacing. I just saw a repair bulletin come through my email that was released on the 27th. So the shops should start receive parts to fix the mirrors, if after inspection they are loose.
@@powerkarma Hey man sorry been so busy lately I havent been catching up with youtube comments, and also I hvent gone visit UT terminal this couple weeks, but what should I tell the shop if I ever stop by UT Terminal ?
@@cjpoker8049 I did it 3 months ago and I already forgot, but I’ll put it this way: I didn’t study or anything, and I only missed 2. Everything you’re doing right now (or SHOULD be doing) is on the test. It’s not difficult at all.
Congrats, looks like a lil more than a 1000, lol ! U definitely need that ac for summer, don’t know why swift didn’t transfer your DL to something else, I’m sure there’s a need for night dispatchers, catch you on your next video, be safe ! GOAL, lol
Sup bro coming from Tulare swift training academy as we study our permit questions we watch you all day ..🔥 hoping to meet you one day at a terminal or pilot j or sumthing btw I passed the permit quiz so this week we all hands on in the yard hopefully see you out there soon 🔥😈
200 hours with mentor, training consist of EVERYTHING pre trip, driving, all parking maneuver’s, and while ur with ur mentor u will learn the rest such as how to deal with customers and paper work👍
@@tomkoo2130 200 hours bro, first 50 hours mentor will sit on the passenger side then the rest 150 hours will be team driving where you drive while he goes to sleep, vise versa
knock on wood I have not broken down lol so I think its very reliable and also has 253xxx miles as of right now I got it when it was 218xxx miles, also I notice these freightliner really do get good mile age I avg. 7-8 mpg.
@@flatbed_rookie33 I had couple tickets on my record I had speeding and not stopping at stop signs 2 of those lol and reckless driving when I got caught doing donuts but that was like 6 years ago but they did ask me and they just wanted to know lol
Hey bro!😂 and normally they don’t like having drivers take more than 4 days at home, buttt you might be able to work it out by staying 7 weeks on the road (which is crazy) . They said 1 week on the road = 1 day hometime.. so maybe if you stack it up they might let you take home time for a 7 days.
@@chez8239 Okay okay.... I like to travel internationally, and i like/want to be wherever for at least a week at a time... My thing, fly out of ATL on a Thursday and return the following week on a Wednesday or Thursday to the latest.... I have some friends in Europe, and to me, I need a solid week. Thank you, again...
yo man so sorry for the longest wait ever lolol been so busy lately !😭 I think it has to do with summer time but I’m working my best to find a time to post more vids
@@COBRA_HK I mean which division you run in. Dry van, reefer, flat bed. Within those you have OTR and dedicated lanes, so it just depends. I know Chez is on Kraft Dedicated. I personally wouldn’t choose that, but I also get paid as much as someone who’s been here 5 years (armed forces veteran rate), so OTR gives me the most miles. It just depends on you.
@@chez8239 lol, they didn’t have that when I last drove for them, had a 2019 cascadia, pretty blue one, can’t use it at all, like scanning your paper work, hehe
@@chez8239 Exactly and I’m still partying till this day.... but I need to start applying tomorrow or so. The biggest thing in Houston is to be a tanker driver... what say you?🤔
